Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. Check out my blog at http:// and follow me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/SupremoStories Well, hello everyone. Lord Supremo here at your service. I came into the world of fan fiction in a similar way to a lot of people, I suspect. A week or so before the Half-Baked Plot came out, I was hoping that it had somehow been leaked onto Bearshare. I downloaded a file labeled as "Half Blood Prince," and began reading. It turned out to be Barb's Harry Potter and the Time of Good Intentions. I didn't realize it at first, but then it began making references to events that had not happened in canon. Eventually, I figured out what was going on and stopped reading. Half-Blood Prince came out, and after reading it and feeling unfulfilled, I went back and finished Barb's series. I haven't stopped reading HP fanfics since. You can find many of my favorite fics in (shockingly enough) the Favorite Stories tab, but here is a running list of a few to which I want to give a special tip of my hat as I dip my toes back into this fandom: -Euphoria by Viscount Anarchy -Fulfilling Obligations by forbiddenharmony7 -Growing Up Black by Elvendork Nigellus -Growing Up Granger by MattD12027 -The Half-Blood Romantic by Sophprosyne -Harry Potter and the Acceptance of Fate by Arya1 -Harry Potter and the Burden of Becoming by fisico -the Harry Potter and the Emerald Tablet series by Lady Alchymia -Harry Potter and the Strength of Three by Narishma -Harry Potter and the Years of Rebellion by full pensieve -Reign of the Serpent by AlphaEph19 -Sixth Year: The Steps Toward The End by scaryisntit -Time Is the Fire by Oddment Tweak -The Time of Change by Olafr -Unlike A Sister by MADHarmony and, above all, Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality by Less Wrong, which I have to say is, in addition to being the greatest Harry Potter fan fiction of all time, among a tiny handful of the most influential books in my life of any genre. Also, there are a couple of old fics that I remember loving but that seem to have been taken down. If anyone reading this happens to have downloaded a copy of these or knows where I can find an archived version, I would greatly appreciate it! -Anima Summa Book One by Anima Summa -Shadow Play by Thor Nairda As for my own work: If you're here, you can see that I am the author of Harry Potter and the Rise of the Amphiptere (which I will abbreviate as "RotA" henceforth) and can also see, equally obviously, that I have not updated it in over 6 years as of this post. I did once return to RotA after a three-year hiatus and I still do have a fair amount of nostalgic affection for that story, along with a file with my notes from back when I was actively writing it and a half-finished version of Chapter Seventeen living on my hard drive...so I can't rule out the possibility that I might come back to it some day. But, yeah, as gratifying as it is to occasionally still get emails telling me someone new has discovered it and added it to their Story Alerts, you should consider RotA to be abandoned at this point. However, I am very pleased to say that for the last little while, I have been working on a new Harry Potter fic. Tentatively titled The Reckoning Comes in the Morning, this new fic is a novel-length story following Harry and Hermione as they seek refuge abroad from the madness of Britain in the aftermath of Voldemort's demise, only to find themselves falling into a new plot for world domination. I have already written approximately 40,000 words of Reckoning (which I project to have a final word count in the neighborhood of 120,000 to 150,000) and plan to begin posting chapters as soon as I have confidence that I have a strong plan and commitment to actually finishing this one. I honestly don't know if there is still much of an audience for new Harry Potter fan fictions in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Nineteen but the germ of this idea has been plaguing my mind for longer than I care to admit, so I'd really love to finish this and get it out there for my own sake, even if it never generates the kind of traffic and feedback that RotA did. I hope that those of you who are still around will like it. Hoping to see you all again soon, Lord Supremo |
