Author has written 6 stories for Hobbit. Hi! Like probably everyone else on this site, I'm just a little too obsessed with fictional characters. I like Star Trek, Tolkien, MARVEL, Assassin's Creed, Supernatural, Naruto, Harry Potter and Star Wars. I'm mostly hooked on the Hobbit right now, it is precious to me. I'm shayshomemadeluck on AO3. Anyways, here's some extended summaries of my fics! A Not So Unwelcome Journey Bella Baggins had sought out adventure and excitement as a child: she had been Bilbo the Great, the brave explorer who searched for elves in the wood and always came home trailing mud and leaves and fireflies. She had wanted to see the world when she grew old enough, but when father had died of illness she came to regret that she had spent so much of her time dreaming of leaving the Shire when she should have spent time with him. She quite lost her heart for adventure, and she knew anyway that as a woman she would be seen as a burden to any she traveled with, so she slowly settled into the simple quiet life that all hobbits wanted. She might have stayed in that life until the day she died had it not been for Gandalf’s meddling. Now she was on a mad quest to reclaim Erebor from the dragon Smaug along with thirteen stubborn dwarves, taking on dangers and all the while trying to keep her companions to the belief that she was in fact Mr Bilbo Baggins. Thank Valar for the lack of talent dwarves possess at discerning gender, because she was going to have enough to deal with, namely the rude bastard who was their leader. Bilbo Baggins: Frying Pan Wielder Bilbo Baggins was about as frightening as a baby rabbit, that was to say: not at all. Or at least, that is what Thorin Oakenshield had thought up until that fateful night. The dwarf had worried before over how the hobbit would fare when they reached the mountain...Now? That dragon was toast. It turns out hobbits can be dangerous creatures, especially when they get their hands on frying pans. Lord of the Rings characters make an appearance. Basically madness with Bilbo and his frying pan at the center of things. There and Back Again, Again Bilbo Baggins was more than ready for another adventure when he boarded the ship to the Grey Havens. He did not know what to expect to happen, but that was the idea, was it not? Still, waking up as a young hobbit lad was the last thing he had imagined...Good opportunity for some fun though. Middle-earth will never know what hit it. Basically timtravel but with not much worrying about sticking to timelines and messing things up, as in: Bilbo is going to do what he wants, when he wants, how he wants, in all likelihood scaring a lot of people along the way. What Grace Gave Him A prompt fill. In which Bilbo has some elf blood in him, but who exactly it came from he does not know and for many years he convinced himself that he never needed to. When the company of Thorin Oakenshield appears at his door, however, he begins to think, starts to wonder...because while he was a Baggins of Bag-End, the fact remained that he was taller than he should be, and the trees whispered in his ears... Mr Boggins of Bog-End In a world where Thorin Oakenshield dies in the Battle of the Five Armies, but his young nephews do not, Bilbo opens his door one fine morning and finds Fili and Kili on his doorstep. Presented with two broken, war scarred young dwarves, Bilbo is at a loss for what to do. He is not in the best of states himself, but he supposes company might do him good. Meanwhile back in Erebor things have gone from bad to worse: King Dain is not all people hoped he would be. A dangerous dwarf, hungry for power and riches and with little respect for life- but with Thorin killed in battle, the location of the princes unknown and Lady Dis missing, the throne is his. Of course, there are those still loyal to the line of Durin and they know things cannot be left to continue as they are. They will not give up all that Erebor was and could be to a dwarf like Dain, not so soon after getting back their home. A secret war is brewing within the mountain and with Dain's talent of making those he does not like disappear and no one to replace him, things are looking bleak. To me, he was... Just a short Bilbo/Thorin thing set after Bilbo returns to Bag-End. |
