Of course, things don't go as planned and it's up to Sam to mount a S&R mission and bring them home safely.

The 'Race', and the Colonials of Cyrannus each tried to conquer Earth. They both failed. The Race has a new colony now. The Colonials haven't finished yet. It's a bad combination all around because everyone's stubborn. Welcome to the galaxy at large.

Jack finds it increasingly difficult to hide his feelings from Sam, leading to a change in their relationship.
