Hello fellow writers and readers! My name is Aeris Rommyu, but you can just call me Aeris. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (music = LIFE. I'm in my school's choir and I do NYSSMA annually), playing around with my piano-keyboard (I'm not all that good, but it sure is fun. I want to learn how to play someday : ), playing tennis, playing badminton, taking walks in the park on warm and sunny days, reading (poetry, stories, short stories, etc.) and writing (poetry, short stories, stories, etc.), painting, my family, my friends, drawing, using pastels and charcoal (awesome stuff right there), and making other people laugh. Music is my LIFE, that and writing. I don't care what anyone says. I love to sing; I sing constantly. Turn the radio onto any station and I'll be able to tell you the name of the song and artist, guaranteed. ;) I've been singing for seven years, but only singing seriously for three. I've done NYSSMA for two years, been in the school choir for seven years, and I was accepted into my school's Chamber Singers last year. Writing is my other passion. I love to write! Stories, short stories, poetry; you name it, I've done it. I even enjoy doing some articles now and then (yep, journalism too, I know. Ha). My dream job would probably be an author, a singer (who writes her own lyrics, of course), or just a songwriter (I hear they make more than the singers because the lyrics are used more than once and remade as new songs). Some of my favorite authors would have to be J.K. Rowling (that woman has some imagination, let me tell you. I'd kill for her imagination and creativity any day), Stephanie Meyer (her ability to really get into the characters' minds astounds me. It's as if she has the characters right beside her telling her what to write), Laurie Halse Anderson (her 1st-person writing style is very light and fun. She is great at getting into the mind of the main character, and she's great at portraying personality and sarcasm), James Patterson (for his imagination and creative writing format. (ex: chapter length, writing style, etc).), and Jennifer Armintrout (she is creative and has sarcastic characters, yet still manages to make the book sophisticated with her great vocabulary and writing style). And finally, the best author ever would have to be William Shakespeare, no questions asked. All ideas today originate from his amazing works. Forbidden love: Shakespeare's done it before. Pretty much any category, he started the trend. This man was a writing genius. His writing is still appreciated today. After years and years of cultural change in the world, people still read his works. Now that's a truly amazing writer. I Like: Pie, bubble baths, walks on the beach, the ocean, lip gloss, nature, lakes, dressing up and putting together outfits, sleeping, jewelry, eating, waking up early, sunrises, writing poetry and stories (and reading them), sunsets, playing video games, WoW, AIM, talking, Facebook, Myspace, respect, my purity, singing, having a good vocabulary, listening to music, playing my keyboard, watching movies, chocolate-covered raisins, creativity, potato chips, watching thunderstorms, popcorn, long showers, Christmas (the atmosphere in general), pptimism, vacations, the night sky and stargazing, and Alaskan King Crab Legs I Dislike: When people use the word "hate" (it's a strong word. Unless you truly loathe someone/something, you're using it wrong), cursing, people who whine or complain a lot, rudeness, germs, people with no manners or who are ruide, pessimisim, people who wear pajamas or sweats to public places, posers, waking up late (that takes some time away from my day), and big rollercoasters. My Favorite Quotes: "Writing has laws of perspective, of light and shade, just as painting does, or music. If you are born knowing them, fine. If not, learn them. Then rearrange the rules to suit yourself." Truman Capote "Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands." - Anne Frank "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." - Robert Frost Note: I have stopped writing my continuation of Eclipse ("Lunar Scowl") because Breaking Dawn came out and now I just can't seem to be able to write one without having Stephenie Meyer's version in the back of my head, keeping me from originality. Perhaps when I think of something else, I will update. Or maybe when I just get a new story idea. |
