Author has written 6 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, and Worm. So, since I uploaded my first story here, I guess I should say Hi, and that I didn't really expect to be writing here, but sometimes things just have to be written. If I'm lucky, they may even be written well. So far, my most important accomplishment on this site is delivering a threat so amusing that it resulted not only in a update, but in a writer who tends not to finish their stories finishing the story in question. Writing a story of my own pales in comparison 'It is spelled right, I ran spellcheck' I should really call this "get a beta reader", but even the good ones miss the hard ones. Heck, I'll miss them every once in a while as well, and I fully expect to get called on it. As I DEFIANTLY spat in my captor's face, I knew that what came next would DEFINITELY be painful. My opponent used a FEINT to get past my guard. The blow he struck to my temple caused me to FAINT. The ROGUE CIA agent paused in her mission to clear her name to re-apply makeup. Some blush, eyeliner, and ROUGE should do it. More to follow as I think of them/I screw them up in my writing and someone points it out to me. What Elliott Marston looks like: http:///post/9790666811/sheer-charisma-makes-sneering-like-this-more I've been reading a lot of Harry Potter fanfiction lately, and I have a couple of issues about the scenes involving the will reading of the Potters. First off, you can't say that someone is definitely not a candidate for guardianship in a will. A friend of mine works in probate law, and we have discussed this. What you can do is disinherit them, sever all ties legally, and then they can't take guardianship. Secondly, I have friends with children. Everyone who is listed in their will knows that they are a potential guardian. Surprise guardianship is a fiction. Lastly, why is there always hate and condemnation for Pettigrew? The whole point of the Fidelus is that they trusted him with their lives. Would you put a line in your will cursing someone who did their best to protect you? Or would you instead offer to pay their funeral or medical expenses, knowing that they would only betray you after severe torture. By all means, name Pettigrew as the secret keeper, but do it wistfully, and give your thanks for hiding them as long as they did. |
