I am a fan of many anime, video games, visual novels, and books. But one favorite shines through and that is Dark Souls and I found that comment on this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dNO9oeFX150rdm=2yhz1d5upnoapp=1client=mv-google I wish there was a good ending, no matter how difficult. You save Solaire, truly. He retains his sanity, and you help him light the flame in his own world, finally becoming his very own sun in a blaze of glory that saves the entire land. You guarantee his success against Gwyn, and for that, he is ever grateful to you. Oscar can be carried to a bonfire, and humanity from the Asylum demon used on him to restore his humanity at the cost of all you get from it. You yourself remain hollowed, but Oscar can be summoned at certain locations provided you can give him a humanity back at Firelink. If you carry him to the end of the game with you, he watches as you save the world, proud his family could bring something so great forth. Lautrec is convinced to shed his evil ways. The ring and armor of favor is forever lost to you, along with his summon signs everywhere, but he remains happily with the Firekeeper, a mere NPC to give advice for free instead. But at least he's happy. The Fair Lady, if given enough humanity, can survive longer than ever before. 50 humanity given to her allows her to stay alive with only minimal pain. The shortcut remains open to the Demon Ruins, but you gain the satisfaction of keeping her alive. Alternatively, if you let Kirk kill you 10 times while Human, he will become non-hostile while invading, allowing you to give him humanity for the Fair Lady early. Eventually, after 50 humanity to the FL, he moves to Firelink as a non-hostile NPC who doesn't speak but can be summoned near the Demon Ruins. Artorias cannot be saved, he is too far gone, but if you kill him before Sif you can give Sif his sword once more to gain the Abysswalker Ring without fighting her. She's sad, and can't help anymore, but she lives to watch you save the world. Siegmeyer can be summoned after completing his questline if you gift him 10 humanity before he goes hollow. He will be summonable outside bosses and if he gets the final blow will slowly regain his pride. He can meet peacefully with Sieglinde and they can both be summoned to fight Gwyn. If they get the final blow here, they thank you for being 'a most excellent partner!" and give you one last drink before you link the Flame. Both Kaathe and Frampt can now be killed. Your choice is now available. Should you leave the flame the age of Dark will begin, but with you as the single ruler. Should you link it the cycle will begin anew, but your deeds will have strengthened your Soul enough to survive, if not your Body. Going into NG You get the 'Soul of the Chosen' which can be transposed into a Longsword with a unique enchantment called 'Reincarnation' where it gets stronger for each time you beat the game with it. You can simply follow Priscilla's wishes to spare her. Etc etc, each character has a happy ending though not without hardship. The sad thing is that Dark Souls shows just how foolish you are for trying to save everyone and that there are no happy endings. Now I'm just saving this to my profile so I can never forget these amazing Ideas and the wonderful game known as Dark Souls. |
