![]() i love to read fanfiction. i doubt that i will ever post anything storywise because let's face it, the act of reading the stories alone is enough of an addiction. there is no pressing need to add writing a story to the mix. i read just about anything (mainly harry potter but i do dabble about...) unless its horrible or just plain awful grammar wise. i love leaving reviews for stories that are current and it is incredibly fun to read an "in-progress" story and i get to really talk to the authors! (nerd that i am)... i have read many different pairings and basically they consist of hermione and another male character that is either well written or able to be believed. my favorites though are hermione/draco, hermione/snape, hermione/harry, hermione/oliver(there are not enough of these!), hermione/remus, and hermione/sirius. those are the ones i read first but i have dabbled in some of the other pairings with blaise(which are fun!), neville, fred or george. like i said i am a fanfiction junkie. i have also found that some hermione/marcus stories are quite good and for my evil side it is fun to read a good hermione/voldemort or tom riddle. like i say to my friends, don't knock it till you try it. some are great and others leave a lot to be desired. oh, and for those of you who are dying at my lack of capitalization... it's on purpose. in all of my reviews or anything i type its just always lower case... don't know why but to each his own. i also do not only love red heads... i just haven't bothered to go through the pain of changing my name. i am in college now and therefore my fanfiction updates have become even more precious because of my lack of free time... ATTENTION: i have had some luck! finding good, promising stories! one of them being Liminal by Cybrokat. no, i was not asked to endorse this story, i merely appreciate and adore her fusion of the two things i love most: reading and music. her story is 1) a really great read 2) it has music integrated in it to progress the story on a whole other level. this is my way of thanking her and complementing her even more, on her great story! ATTENTION DOS!: keeping you all somewhat up to my reading speed (which gets disturbingly faster with boredom) if you are looking for a story that is well written and want a character pairing that is a little out of the ordinary; read Ultima Ratio by Winterblume. again, this is just a recommendation from one fanfic aficionado to another. i promise you will NOT be disappointed! oh, also, thanks to all the visitors of my profile page... i feel it may be a bit lacking... but seeing the number of hits its been getting i feel i should thank you for dropping by. nothing happens here that is particularly exciting, but more often than not, i always have a great list of favorite stories that you may like that will fit any reading (harry potter mostly) craving. try the hermione/severus, an acquired taste, but always a bit more intense because well... he's an onion... and she's nosy... PLEASE DO NEW SURVEY! i love movies i love books i love music i love reading i love writing i love socializing i love sleeping i love staying up i love being a nerd i love being weird i love my heritage i love my family i love my friends i love college i love going to church i love going nowhere i love to travel i love to eat i love to imagine i love to dream i love to live FROM THE DESK OF Nastya Wynde: Ever since it was opened, ff. net had always been a place for avid fans- of ANYTHING- to feel at home. To express whatever is on our minds and truly let our love for characters, plot lines and scenarios shine through. Now all of a sudden, FF. net has decided to go through a massive upheaval and remove thousands of stories from its library, some of the best fanfics ever written, gone, never to be read again. They are removing anything involving sexual situations, or violence, or inspired by a song, the list goes on. And we as readers see this as a gross waste of talent and incredible material. fanfiction .net has always been a place for us writers to 'Unleash our imagination' as the tagline states, and now we are having that right to freedom of speech and expression taken away from us. Since when are they allowed to dictate what goes into our stories? They are OUR pieces of work. What if the violence or sexual content is part of the plotline? This whole situation is absurd. There are better ways to deal with 'inappropriate' content than to remove it altogether. What about adult filters? Age restrictions? There are so many other options! So I'm asking please, for all us readers, writers, and fans alike... STOP THE DESTRUCTION OF FF .net! Why can't Fanfiction make an MA rating for writers to use that has the above said age restriction? Sign the petition - link is near the bottom of my profile - and fight for all your favorite stories that have been deleted! http:///petitions/fanfiction-net-stop-the-destruction-of-fanfiction-net# |
