Author has written 13 stories for Gundam Wing/AC, D.Gray-Man, Final Fantasy VII, Avatar: Last Airbender, and Star Trek: 2009.
Age: legally considered as an adult in all countries
Nationality: Indonesian
Location: Melbourne, the city-of-out-of-whack-weather
Occupation: veterinary bioscience graduate student
Languages: Indonesian, English, Japanese and a bit of both French and Mandarin (albeit I forgot almost all that I'd learned for those two). My Japanese isn't that good either, haven't used it for many years. So really, I'm only fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
I'm not a really active or good writer, but I do enjoy reading a well written and plotted fic. I also have a penchant for angsty fics, haha. Oh, and sinking/sunken ships for my OTPs.
Favorite quotes:
"God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players, to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time." - Terry Pratchett
"People die, but books never die. No man and force can take from the world the books that embody man's eternal fight against tyranny. In this war, we know, books are weapon." - Franklin Delano Roosevelt
"Modern man is franticly trying to earn enough money to buy things, he's too busy to enjoy." - Frank Clarkhave a ha h
"I am what I want to be." - Schopenhour
"Books serve to show a man that those original thoughts of his aren't very new after all." – Abraham Lincoln
"What's done can't be undone." - William Shakespeare
"The only people who ever get anyplace interesting are the people who get lost." – Henry from The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail.
"There is a destiny that makes us brothers; no one goes his way alone: All that we send into the lives of others comes back into our own." - Edwin Markham
"The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' (I found it!) but 'That's funny ...'" – Isaac Asimov
"The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts." - Marcus Aurelius
"If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise." – Robert Fritz
"Those who cannot tell what they desire or expect, still sigh and struggle with indefinite thoughts and vast wishes." – Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody's power, that is not easy." - Aristotle
Some of my favorite books (since there are too many and I can't remember them all at once):
Inheritance Cycle - Christopher Paolini
Lord of the Ring - J.R.R. Tolkien
The Celestine Prophecy - James Redfield
Winnetou - Karl May
Sea of Trolls - Nancy Farmer
The Life of Pi - Yann Martel
The Warded/Painted Man (UK/US version) - Peter V. Brett
The Farseer Trilogy - Robin Hobb
etc...
—Usually I like fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction. But I pretty much read anything that piques my interest.
My current on-going (or in planning) project is:
To Kill a Mockingbird
Final Fantasy VII. Fantasy.
Previous description of story was scrapped 8P
They were children blessed by the Lifestream; and Jenova, knowing that fact, will use it against them. Two will hold the balance, but one will destroy.
Summary: She was human and her name was Tifa. She once had a life somewhere, and there was someone who'd protected her.
Bereft
Main character of the story is Tifa, and as usual: Cloti (since that's my FF7 OTP). It's gonna be mixed flashes of present and flashback scenes.
The story is mainly about how Tifa deals with unexpected pregnancy and miscarriage alone. Originally intended to be about post-partum depression, but somehow it turned out like this...
Edit 11/2013: currently considering changing the plot.
SnK fic untitled at the moment
Pairing: slight Levi/Mikasa Ackerman
Character death and how the rest carried on.
Untitled AtLA fic
Pairing; eventual Zutara?
A long story, focusing on Zuko in an AU where Zuko was actually thrown away by Ozai after he was born (as Ozai nearly did according to canon). Would involve dragons, Sun Warriors, prophecies, and the Blue Spirit Mask. In which Zuko would literally be a wild child, would experience the loss of one loving parent and abuse from the other, and receive a new identity for himself as adopted of the dragons.
Shelved:
A Peek into Cross Marian's Mind
D.Gray-Man. Initially, it was to be a series of short drabbles, but I messed up the word count. Currently have 11 chapters posted. Chapter 12, 13, 14 are in planning, but it depends whether I can write them down or not.
- on hold for the moment -
Near Surreal
D.Gray-Man. Since I'm morphing into an Allen x Road person, I've decided to make my first DGM fic with pairing (whatever happen to priding myself on 'neutrality'? Heck, I dunno).
Summary: The girl everybody had come to know--she is merely but a ghost of a person. Road Camelot herself was not the real "Road", she is a figment of what others expect and think of her. Dreams are supposed to be a non-existent substantial capacity in human minds, you could say it's almost ethereal.
- on hold for the moment -
Agnostos
Final Fantasy VII. Sci-fi. There was a rare, unknown, element that existed since the birth of the universe. The government discovered it a decade ago, and since then it has become the world's best kept secret which is coveted by those who knows. With the hunt on for them, they have to run and retaliate. What was so invaluable about them? Shouldn't everyone be born with it?
-my Novels subject's tutor kinda unintentionally discouraged me from continuing it-
Changeling
A fantasy story about dragons, elf, dwarfs, half-breeds, etc. In Indonesian. Not posted.
untitled
A Science fiction story, inspired from Darker than BLACK, D.Gray-Man, the Warded Man and AeonFlux (this one is a western movie). In 3XXX AD Earth is no longer the place we know. The main character's name is Daniel, an orphaned boy who wants to free his only living relative--his sickly sister, even if he would have to join the rebellion and suffer devastating results. Not posted.
Finished stories:
Language Lesson
A Gundam Wing fic about Relena learning Japanese.
Wrong
D.Gray-Man. A short fic based on D.Gray-Man chapter 185.
Summary: His oath to himself and to Mana prevents him from standing still and let this monstrosity be. But he could not destroy them like he did akuma either. It felt wrong.
Between Sanity and Insanity
D.Gray-Man. Another Allen Walker fic.
Summary: He felt the urge to grip something, to tear, to draw blood by his hands… Spread that wonderful crimson liquid and dye the graying world red instead of the usual black and white.
A Mix of Black and White
D.Gray-Man. My first contribution to Tyki Mikk.
Summary: He was unable to comprehend how the young boy turned that way. Even when part of the mystery was revealed through Jasdevi's rants concerning General Cross Marian, the boy was still a growing enigma to him.
Aria of a Broken Doll
D.Gray-Man. Characters: Allen, Link, Timcanpy. Link silently wondered why Allen Walker loved that broken record. (Contains Guzol and Lala as well).
Summary: The child him would stumble down the road, no longer able to carve his own path. As Lala had been a lifeless mannequin without her heart.
Fallen From Grace
D.Gray-Man. Renee Epstein's fic.
Summary: Brains, grace and wit. Those were the codes Renee Epstein had abode her whole life. It was the same code that had helped her to the place she has right now.
Perennial
Avatar: the Last Airbender. Zuko and Katara.
A short angsty reincarnation story of Zuko and Katara, inspired by a Shingeki no Kyojin fic on tumblr and artwork by Tongari.
Currently:
I must apologize for not updating A Peek into Cross Marian's Mind and Near Surreal. A short period of depression due to drastically changing circumstances years ago and then getting caught up in college and uni studies seem to have chased my muse for these two away. The fact that the manga experienced so many hiatus also kind of killed my muse in a semi-permanent way. When the time comes, I would still continue writing them.
Also, I'm in the busiest period of learning in my graduate course at the moment, so I would not have much free time to spend on writing. I'm gonna start my clinical placements soon, how exciting :)
