Uh. So I'm not dead even though it's been around four and a half years since I updated this. Lots of stuff has happened that I'm sure none of you cared about and my computer is currently toast so that you maybe care about because my WIP are on it. Eventually I'm planning on getting a new computer and hooking up my old hard drives to hopefully get stuff off them but in the mean time I'm stuck with just my phone.

I've pretty much moved my activity over to AO3, in that I'm bookmarking new favorites over there, but until this past week I hadn't posted anything there these past years either. What I have posted are two little drabbles in the Good Omens fandom because honestly the Amazon miniseries was incredibly well done. I have ideas for a few more and I'm hopeful that getting into posting even some little stuff will break the block I've had on producing new content.

That being said I've been spending time over here on ff. Net and going through old favourites on my list and oh god... I must have bookmarked every cliche time travel I ever read. Oh to be so young and undiscerning of good fic where every story was a masterpiece.

I have new recommendations. Please don't go through my favourites list. If it was a piece of paper I'd be tempted to burn it. I'm honestly too lazy to go through the dross and delete what I don't like and there are some excellent fics there I just can't recommend the entire list anymore.

Some of my favorites that I'll still recommend over here are:

Embers by Vathara an avatar the last airbender fanfic of epic proportions and its a finished work. Actually anything by Vathara is good and they're over on AO3 with a ton of new fic too.

Dreaming of Sunshine by silverqueen a Naruto fic. Honestly I found this only recently. It's a OC selfinsert-- wait I know that puts people off I'm usually one of those who says no!! But it's incredibly well done and also a fic of epic proportions. It's over 700k long and it's still a WIP.

The Dragon King's Temple by kryal an AtlA stargate crossover. Yes you read that right. It features primarily toph and zuko with sg1 and it's a lovely adventure. They are also on AO3 if you prefer that formatting.

On the matter Dreaming of Sunshine -- there are three tons of recursive fic for it. That is fic based off silverqueens specific narutoverse. I recommend them all.

Ok. So basically. I'm not dead, my computer is dead, I may start posting things on AO3 in the near future instead of here providing I can fix the aforementioned dead computer issue. So uh yah I guess I'll recommend you check out my bookmarks List over on AO3 instead?

hmm... about me...
Well as you can see I've finally bothered to post other works even if they are short. I do have other pieces in the works though I can't say that many of them will be of any great length. I don't think I've got talent for any multi-chapter works (not that I think I've any real talent for oneshots either...) but I may eventually try my hand at them because of the number of ideas floating around in my head. unfortunately I'm more of an avid reader than a writer so posts will probably be sporadic at best. That being said though, my favorites list has had years to grow so feel free to look for something there that interests you.

An update? Not a planned one, just bored. I suppose in the unlikely event that someone actually reads this information would be appreciated though. As you may have noticed I've added a number of pieces since being 'challenged' in October by a friend. I can say I do intend to add a new piece (or two) every month for at least the next few(/several) months. I can't guarantee the quality of them as I don't use a beta but I'll do my best to check them over myself.
I'll say this also, Please Review. I would like to improve my writing so I want feedback. Specific parts you liked or disliked. Why did you like/dislike one of my pieces? Or could I at least get comments of a couple of words just to know people liked them? I absolutely love getting reviews and yes they do encourage me to write more.

Just bored again (which happens frighteningly often) but I thought I might explain something about my possible differing spelling/phrasing in stories. As shown at the top of my profile. I am Canadian. That being said though my spelling is a slight mix of canadian and american styles. (with perhaps british nuances)

Let me explain. I use Microsoft Word to type things up usually, the default setting for spell check is U.S. spelling I usually don't bother to change it but click 'ignore once' instead. Colour, favour vs. color, favor etc. I really don't mind it so sometimes words will have it sometimes they won't. Don't try telling me it's wrong because it has or doesn't have the U. Some things get auto-corrected others don't. I haven't bothered to figure out how to change the default setting it opens with. Reading fanfiction from locations across the world means you get pretty used to varying spellings.
On the note of fanfiction from everywhere; I read a lot of stuff that has been brit-picked. (BBC's Sherlock is bloody brilliant!) That is to say it has british-english spelling and common british phrasing, cursing, sayings etc. I've endeavoured to keep them out of my writing, unless I'm writing for a brit location category, obviously. I don't know if I've succeeded. One friend wouldn't stop laughing for five min when I accidentally used british curses when I was pissed at them for something... at least it ended the argument, they didn't have enough air left in their lungs to continue it.

So that's my odd spelling/phrasing. Words that may or may not favour having the 'extra' U and british phrasing that may pop in from time to time for a cuppa.

Not much of an update, just mentioning here that I currently have only one more fully typed-up piece. I intend to post it this month and then it'll be erratic updates from now on instead of at least something each month. I have several half typed oneshots that are fully planned out; I just haven't had the patience for typing stories for months now...

Even though I've been lacking new story ideas I'll try to get my old ones at least typed so my few readers won't have to wait ages for new works. Please don't hold me to a short deadline though, I hate transferring stories from my notebooks to the computer. (If it seems like I've forgotten this though and not bothered to post in ages feel free to PM me and guilt trip me into typing them up.)

Just something I've noticed - people keep 'Following' stories I've marked complete. I'm always glad to see people interested in my stories BUT if I've marked it complete it won't be updated. If I've mentioned a linked idea I'm considering writing in the AN then the companion piece X will be put up separately with a line saying X is a companion piece to Y and similarly the summary of Y will note the addition. It will not be added as another chapter to the existing work.

If you follow a complete work because you want an addition - tell me that! I may have an idea in progress and telling me you'd like to see it will put it on my to-do list instead of letting it gather dust. I don't like the idea of leaving works marked incomplete because it implies that there will be updates - I can't promise that.

The only work I've left as a WIP, as of 03/02/14, is The Least because as a collection of themed oneshots it doesn't really have an end.

Hello random people. Just a little note here to say I recently picked up a 2nd job so the posting works each month, which I'm still trying to keep up, will probably fail soon. That's not to say I won't try but I really do prefer using my free time for reading than writing. I'm just stubborn enough to want to keep posting as a point of one-upping a friend who prompted me into it and never reciprocated.

Ugh. the quality of what I've posted has been going down... This is what happens when I push to post stuff when I don't have pieces done. You people get last minute scraps of ideas written in an evening when I'd really rather be catching up on either reading updates or sleeping. The problem is, once I post something I don't want to delete it even if it makes me cringe. It's a kind of reminder of progress, or lack thereof, in my writing style. I'll try to get some of my longer ideas typed up but my jobs are killing me. I have so many notes and half finished pieces it's not even funny but I hate typing out of my notebooks...

So... my mother has recently had some health issues. She's fine now (after scaring the hell out of us) relatively speaking (she says half the time she has all the energy of a cotton ball), but I've been rather distracted as of late. I have some stories but people should be well aware by now that I hate typing up stuff I've written in advance so I haven't had the patience to transfer them to my computer yet. After this update I'm going to try and type some but I won't promise there'll be anything published this month (aka today).

The stories most likely to be published next are in categories: Avengers, Avengers/AC, Sherlock. (Providing I don't write any short bits and decide to post them instead) If there's a category you'd like to see me post in feel free to drop a line to point me in the right direction.

OMG! I missed September's posting! I didn't even realise a month had passed. I've been messing about on AO3 (I don't post there though) and with a new online game and I completely forgot about posting anything till now...

So... It may have been noticed that I haven't posted since August. An almost two year run of monthly posting at an end it would seem.

RL (two jobs) has pretty much kicked my ass and on top of that I've spent the last two weeks sick(and still going to both jobs...). I've got finished stories and no motivation left to type them up so for now I'm just hoarding them till I get a bit of motivation back. I'm not quitting for good but I'm not sure when I'll feel up to posting again. Sorry to anyone who was waiting for my next random work...

03/20/15 Hating life currently. Just... worn out and sick of dealing with peoples' shit. Sick of dealing with people in general but my jobs don't give me a choice. Anyone have a way to relax that won't involve drowning myself in alcohol? Because honesty, it's starting to look like a damn good idea (even when I find very few alcoholic drinks palatable) but I don't like the idea of drinking in excess...
