My three rules for life.

Rule One: Nobody is ready for anything. If someone says that they are, they are lying. The only two things you are ever ready for is birth and death. Those are debatable at best.

Rule Two: You can aim for the stars, you just have to remember where you're walking. Otherwise you're going to run into a tree.

A different closet (School/short story)

Description: Tim is alone in high school. He's not alone because he has no friends. He's not alone because he's a geek or a nerd. He's not alone because he is some kind of superhero who must keep his identity a secret. No, he is alone because he is something else, something people find weird, probably even unnatural: he like girls instead of boys.

Turning to the fringe (Modern Fantasy/short story)

Description: Two groups, enemies as long as they've existed, have become allies. For there is someone, a man, that could set them to war with ease. They cannot let this man live. They send their best warriors to hunt him down, ensure that he has not place to hide. But what they don't know is that when they corner him, that's when everything changes. That night, a mantle of power and responsibility is passed on. That night is when someone new must learn that the balance must be upheld, always.

Purgatory (Religious/short story)

A boy has been on the run for the past two years. He's been surviving on his wits and sometimes sheer luck. He knows his pursuers are relentless and will do everything they can to get him. That's why he has to run. He has to run from angels and demons. For Judgement Day has come and gone and he is the last human left on Earth. He'd like to keep it that way.

At the end (Futuristic/short story)

The war is over. Peace in the galaxy has been made. It's the end of a chapter and a bloody story. It should be happy and complete. But for Jak, a soldier and who many would call a hero, life doesn't just end once the war is done. He's still alive where others have died. He must find something else to do, to find meaning in his life. And he sees only one way to go about it: he goes back to the town he ran away from. He goes home.
