Author has written 4 stories for Slayers, Halo, and Pokémon. 1/06/08 Having recently gotten a large boost in creativity and writing incentive, I've removed two of my earliest stories and started writing stuff again after nearly 6 years MIA. Thanks much to my friend Jen from Rockford, IL and other community members, not to mention really cool game trailers and game publishing studies. My inspriation is life, and the secret to creativity is knowing how to hide one's sources. Currently back in school for Nursing after humdrum day-jobs bored my to tears. I'm now 24, working on correcting my health problems like Obesity and Alcoholism by tempering it with hobbies and Dry Humor. The imagination has never quite failed me, only prevented me from focusing on actually writing a story rather than brainstorming it and writing ideas on post-it notes and cocktail napkins. My HUGE epic-class story is currently on Hiatus until I can reestablish contact with an old mentor of mine who's no doubt up to his ass in the alligators known collectively as LIFE. (Dry humor example) I still have this immense craving for feedback, whether you´re biting my head off or showering me with praise, just be sure to attach your reasons for such feedback with your comments and we´ll call it even. Please don´t hesitate to drop me a line for any reason if you have any questions. As of right now, My interests lie in several series, games, and lots of cool movies. Wish I could get an Xbox 360 and start playing Halo 3, but that'll probably come sometime in the future. 2/7/2009 Nursing School is less than a year away from completion and things continue to plod along with my learning experiences mounting and inspiring me perhaps to take up work in the field of Psychiatric Nursing. I'm approaching the age of 26 this June and things haven't much changed much on the health front. I am still what the medical field calls Morbidly Obese, but I continue to mount an offense against this battle with a strategy that calls for swimming as far as I can manage about 5 days a week. My struggle against Alcoholism is never-ending, but the beast is either tempered or denied his prize on a daily basis. I can't guarentee he won't win tomorrow or the next day, but every day, I do my best to keep him on his leash. Recently, avid readers of my work will notice my foray into the Pokemon fandom with original concepts and storylines that reveal a darker side of the PKMN universe. While my efforts in the Halo Universe haven't been apparentMemoirs is far from being abandoned and I have brainstormed several other stories, but for now, it is solidly on the back burner as another author by the name of Rave The Rich has inspired me to continue my work in the PKMN universe. Recent developments have also provided a boon for fans of his works, as I shall now explain. To be as succinct as possible, he issued a challenge on December 7th for the Ravens/Redskins game and since no one else was rising to the occasion, I decided to take him up on it, in the vain hopes that my never-before-researched team would emerge victorious. The Ravens (NOT my team V_V) won this Battle of the Beltway by a score of 24-10, therefore I was tasked with writing a one shot of Rave's choosing. What is this one shot? Well, it's related to his popular 'All Roads Lead to the Grand Festival' series. For those not "In-The-Know", in this series, the teenage May and Kelly have been together for over a year. They love one another and, as of the story, are now engaged! Well, in the official one-shot prologue 'Giving of Yourself', Rave somewhat described how it happened, but my task will be to show even more of the background that led up to their eventual confession of love. The fan fiction is titled 'Where Moonlit Roads Meet' and after speaking back and forth with Rave about the details, we project thus far that this story will end up being over 20,000 words in length. (Although I feel I must admit the bet's stipulation only called for a story 5,000 words in length. Needless to say, this particular endeavor has grown significantly out of proportion. _) Also recently, Rave issued another challenge to me in that he felt he could publish another off-shoot story about 20,000 words in length before I could finish 'Where Moonlit Roads Meet', setting my deadline at 12:00:01 AM on February 12, 2009 and his own (since he will be starting essentially from scratch) at 12:00:01 AM on February 28, 2009. So fair readers, rest assured that new hawtness will be seen and seen very soon on the part of yours truly as I have only 5 days to finish the story as of this post to complete my end of the bargain. With any luck, I can finish the story with enough of an advantage to overcome Rave's incessant LACK of a need to sleep. 2/16/09 Well, as it would seem apparent, I totally TANKED on the delivereance of WMRM by February 12. However, it should be noted that in pursuit of said goal, astonishing progress was made towards bringing the story to a close and things are progressing nicely. There are perhaps three major scenes left to write and then you will all be granted with a first-hand view of teh AWSUMNESS that is WMRM. Until then however, we are currently under attack. Please Stand By. In the meantime, stay safe, and of course, KEEP IT CLEAN 8/1/09 FINALLY. "Where Moonlit Roads Meet" is COMPLETE ... and UPLOADED! Long has this story been on the drawing boards and in the minds of myself and the "All Roads" original author Rave the Rich. Today is a momentuous day, perhaps the first of many in that I will become inspired to begin posting new stories, namely "The Last Master" more regularly ... but I'm not holding to any grand scheme or schedule, not to mention that I have a planned epilogue for WMRM that will likely be written tomorrow which stands firmly in LM's way. Well, no matter which way you look at it, one major hurdle in my writing ventures has been overcome and I would GREATLY appreciate it if you would be so kind as to tell me what you think of my latest creation. I don't particularly mind if you happen to disagree with me, since that's your right, but I would like to know your opinions on the writing itself, if any of you out there could possibly spare the time. In case I don't see you; good afternoon, good evening, and good night! |
