Author has written 3 stories for Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This is my disclaimer since I have a nasty habit of forgetting. I DO NOT own Artemis Fowl, Airman, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, or Inheritence Cycle (unfortunately). I repeat, none of them are mine. All of the following is the property of wikipedia. http:///wiki/List_of_paradoxes Catch 22 Paradox: A situation where someone is in need of something that can only be had by not being in need of it. Raven Paradox: Observing a green apple Increases the likelyhood of all ravens being black. Barber Paradox: A male barber shaves all and only those men who do not shave themselves. Does he shave himself? Berry Paradox: The phrase "The first number not nameable in under eleven words" appears to name it in nine words. Liar Paradox: If "This sentence is false" is true, then the sentence is false, which in turn would mean That it is actually true, but this would mean That it is false, etcetera etcetera. Exception Paradox: "If there is an exception to every rule, then every rule must have at least one exception; the exception to this one being that it has no exception" "There's always an exception to the rule, except to the exception to the rule-which is, in of itself, an accepted exception of the rule." Grandfather Paradox: You travel back in time and kill your grandfather before he conceives one of your parents, which precludse your own conception and, therefore, you cOulxnt go back in time and kill your grandfather. Predestination Paradox: A man travels back in time to discover the cause of a famous fire. While irhthen building where the fire started, he accidentally knocks over a kerosene lantern and causes a fire, the se fire thaT would inspire him, years later, to travel back in time. And even if it didn't, pass it on just for the memory of the innocent children girl and guy were speeding over 100mph on a motorcycle Girl: Slow down, I'm scared! Guy: No, this is fun. Girl: No, it's not. Please, I'm scared. Guy: Then tell me you love me. Girl: I love you, now slow down! Guy: Now give me a big hug. She gives him a big hug Guy: Can you take off my helmet and put it on yourself, it's bothering me. In the newspaper the next day, a motorcycle had crashed into a building because of break failure. Two people were on it and only one survived. The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized his break wasn't working but he didn't want the girl to know. Instead he had her hug him and tell him one last time that she loved him. Then he had her put on his helmet so that she would live even if he died. |
