POSTING POLICY: I have decided never to begin posting anything before it is completed. War is so often needless. Whether one life is lost or millions, it shouldn't be necessary. What motivates people? Greed? Hate? Why is it so hard to imagine that the people you call your enemies want the same thing you do, peace? A chance for everyone to return home, to embrace their families again? Humans, no matter who we are or where we hail from are motivated by fear, love, helplessness... Must the world be destroyed for peace to reign? That's a rather empty sort of 'no more war'. Whether we like it or not we are neighbors and as such depend on one another. So why don't we forget our hatred and our revenge. Revenge is a vicious cycle. Let past tragedies remain in the past. Let's end it with us. Let us be the generation that holds hands with our allies because there is no one to be the enemy. Let us make war nothing more than a fairytale and a history lesson for our children yet to come. Beyond even that, do not create a merely a truce, create the type of love that makes families stick together even when they can't stand each other. Let's grow up together and learn each others ways. Even if those ways are not reconcilable in all respects surely they can be tolerated as an alternative to bloodshed. Because the alternative is the one we keep saying we're trying to prevent; more deaths; more broken families; more kids growing up to demand justice be done in response to the actions by other kids who previously demanded the same thing.
