Fan Fiction Pet Peeves:

Pairings: Personally I can read any story regardless of pairings , but if the pairing takes over the story and plot and the genre ISN'T romance then I have a problem. Because I am not going to seriously spend eight hours or more reading a fantastic story only to find that the last chapter has the main character falls in love with some random chick, dumps her and tells the rest of the world to go to hell--big waste of time.

Harems: Same thing for the most part, but unless the story is really good plot wise, I'm not going to touch this topic with a ten foot pole. Though I will say this--making up about a dozen girls/boys THAT AREN'T EVEN IN CANON and using only one girl/boy from canon and calling it a harem is lame and defeats the purpose of that story even belonging in that section.

Character Torture: Taking a character and a plot and constantly throwing a load of crap on them (ex. Harry is captured by Voldemort, then gets sick, then breaks a leg, then Hermione is betraying him, Ron hates him all of a sudden, Snape is his guardian and etc.) all of this happens within the span of two very short chapters--can anyone see the headache of trying to read it? I can.

Plot Based OC: Firstly, original characters are fine only if they do not take up the plot, become Mary Sues, or get one of the main characters to fall in love with them. I want to read a story about the canon character in a different light--not some dine store chick whose not even in canon, or whose sole purpose is to be a self-insert. I frankly hate a great majority of theses kinds of fics, and to date only a high amount of reviews vs. much smaller chapter amount will even make me give these kinds of fics a second glance. One example of a OC fanfiction, that I will read, enjoy and allow comes from my favorite author cywscross, called "For Whom the Bell Tolls".

Mary Sues/John Does: A fanfic is a fiction written about a canon plot used in a 'what if' situation. A fanfic DOES NOT is not a made up character, and calling it canon--big waste of time. Nor is it considered a crossover.

Next Generation Fics: Not happening--again I want to read about canon main characters--not their brats.

"Someone" Goes to Hogwarts: Too many of these, and sometimes the plot is shaky. I wouldn't mind reading these if there was something different or spiced off. Though I will say this, the people who write those excellent ones do deserve a digital cookie.

Time travel fics: Again same problem, but there are some excellent ones out there...if they would ever get finished.

"Forgotten" Characters: Fic where a supposedly forgotten character re-appears, is suddenly important, and naturally takes over the story, falls in love with the main character and is 90% of the time Mary-Sue like in quality. NOT happening, if a character is mention fine, but I hate when someone says a character is forgotten-- and it isn't they're just OCs.

Super Powerful Girl/Boyfriend fanfics: Okay, I can understand where and sometime even when the main character is awesome and powerful but just because some tart is "suddenly" his girlfriend/boyfriend and now they're super powerful, makes me annoyed on so many levels. (Though thankfully this doesn't happen too often in Hetalia).

Unfinished Fics: I can understand something life altering happening--hell it happens almost weekly ay my house (in one week I could be on Academic Probation, and then the next week I'm making all 'A's) but for the love of fanfic fan's DO NOT START A FANFIC--IF YOU CANNOT FINISH IT! Seriously, I get tired of reading awesome fics only to discover that the author has not updated in like eight or so years... But I will note this, there are acceptable reasons, and I know not all authors are not lazy, or want to share their reasons. That doesn't mean they can't leave a small note telling the readers about "unexplainable events beyond their control"on their profile.

Abandoned Fics: I absolutely detest when I'm reading through a five-hundred thousand word fanfic only to find that the author sudden throws in the towel and say "Sorry, fanfic has taken over my life--can't update anymore. I'm abandoning this story for so and so reason." That is absolutely rude and frankly insulting to the rest of us. Fine you can't update but buck up and accept the responsibility that all authors owe and don't blame the fic if you CAN'T manage your time.

Flamers (Is this the right word?): Okay, time for a time out. If you don't like a fanfic, don't read it, and don't insult the authors--it just common curtsey. There is a back button, and you can use your mouse (or whatever movable object that you use to change web pages) and go some where else.

Really, Really, Really Bad Grammar: Considering the amount of warnings I usually post on my fanfic's, this section is ironic. I will NOT under any circumstances read a fanfic if the grammar is beyond bad. An example is like that is the following " Alfred nos nthing, & has hawt bff, & lik omg." Seriously I saw something like this, and my eyes were literally burning. It fine if its a couple of words, plurals, comma's or what not are missing--that's fine. But the moment I need to translate using any form of text speak from american phone language is where I draw the line.

The I-DON'T-KNOW-PUNCTUATION-DISEASE: I've seen really bad example of this where an author will not use any spaces, bunch random paragraphs together trying to make their fanfic appear to be longer, or just times where punctuation is totally ignored. No, putting a question mark, after every sentence is not correct and neither is using spaces to spell out a word in any way good.

Fan-lang-ese: Another ironic topic, considering my fanfics... Putting in Japanese, or french or whatever language the anime is in and adding it to the story is fine, but when you start putting whole paragraphs in french, and there is no translation, or the translation isn't until the end of the fanfic--the meaning is lost on the reader. Now, I will admit there are time where this is very important say for example a character in canon (of whatever section) doesn't speak English and no one else does, putting this in the fanfic, and trying to get the confusion across to the reading is great. Just try not to over do it--or completely mess up the language of either. Example: Naruto's "Konoha" instead of "Kohana".

Fall in Love Rape: Rape is Rape not love end of story. Useless its like Stockholm or something.

The Convenience Blame the USA Notation: People, America can only directly affect their government, and the places we control military bases. Anything else is the fault of your own damn governments. Deal with it. Hate the USA all you want but don't go throwing stones, over your own pathetic mess and still expect us to clean up after your messes. Got it? Good.

Too Short Fanfic vs. Long Author's Note: If the author's note is longer then the story there's a problem. The story (fanfic, whatever) is the main focus, and chapters that contain only an author's note are irritating and tedious. If you want to get something across to the readers post it on your profile, or make a note on the current chapter. Now, I understand life is very unpredictable and shit happens, but deal with what ever is going on then tell the readers (if you want, or just say nothing), and update when you can. That way no one is depressed about the lack of chapter and you the author are not pulling your hair out trying to inform the readers about anything. Just chill and do what needs to be done.

Short Attention Span Disorder: This probably the most irritating topic of all the things listed here. I absolutely hate when an author will not finish a fanfic--not because of life, or time, or work, or whatnot, but because they freakin' lost interest. Seriously what the f*ck?! If you can't commit to a fanfic DON'T WRITE! It's that simple.

Anti-Americism; When a fanfic centers somewhat around America (Alfred F. Jones) and no matter what happens its mysteriously his fault 1000% of the time--WHAT THE HELL?! Seriously this is very annoying frankly and very unrealistic. I mean, hello there are characters and they are at fault too, no matter how high they think their moral ground is. Seriously get over yourself. You might as well post a bash warning on your story.

2. Summary: America comes up with a brilliant and cunning plan to bring about world peace. Shrink the nations! Problem solved. Except nothing goes right...

Plot 3: Shrinking Problems

1. Pairings Optional
2. Summary: Captured off the street by the mafia America is kidnapped. Of course it isn't long before the other nations get wind of this and try to save him. Surprisingly, they needn't have bothered.

Plot 4: America's House

1. Pairings Optional
2. Rating: T
3. Summary: Because of the magnitude of the economic recession, the G8 (and anyone else) is stuck rooming at America's house. Yet appearances can be deceiving--because as beautiful as this house appears, deep scars are kept within. Mysterious people, ghosts, rooms that don't exist, Tony's threats, and a old grave are only some of the things strange about Alfred's house.

Plot 5: Nation-napped

2. Rating K through T
3. Rating: Preferably K through T
4. Summary: Tony was bored, so to spice things up he hands Alfred a time/space device. Now thrown into random time periods, he unknowingly affects the nations of the past into who they are today.

Plot 6: More Love

1. America X Romano/South Italy
2. Summary: Any of the above, or anything at all this pairings needs more love.

Plot 7: To Be Happy

1. Pairings Optional
2. Rating: K though M
3. Summary: Somehow thrown into the 2p universe (how Alfred gets into the universe up to the reader), Alfred beginnings a journey, that will change the 2p nations. A new beginning, means new rules, and Alfred's well know for breaking rules--including those of survival.

Plot 8: Two Genders, One Identity.

3. Summary: For some reason, every since 'Alfred' can remember, he's always had two genders. For fourteen days a month he's a girl, while the rest of the time he's a boy. Its not a curse, or anything, just the way s/he is, and its normal. Except, ever since the Europeans arrived on his land, and the idea of being female (and therefor inferior to man) comes-- so naturally Alfred hides this from everyone.

Crossover Challenges

Hetalia x Justice League

1. Summary: No one knew who the teenager was who was guarded by the Secret Service or even why the Justice League was asked to protect him. They just know that nothing makes sense involving Alfred F. Jones.

Summary: Moving into Metropolis (is this where the invasion happens in Justice League ?), Alfred hides away from the other nations, lending a helping hand to the Justice League crew, and after everything is said and done--he's invited to the League--but declines (England and the others would find him if he joined). Still the Justice League isn't willing to give up when they consider the mayhem Alfred is capable of (examples being other teenagers whose powers end up destroying themselves), and try different tactics to get him to join. Until strange things start happening...like Alfred having no official file, Martian Manhunter being unable to read his thoughts, and the wariness of any bad guys to attack him.

2. Summary: He appeared one day without warning, and ever since he's bypassed every security system on the Tower. Batman's going to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding Alfred F. Jones...except Alfred is more mysterious than anyone gave him credit for...

Hetalia x Batman Crossover

1. Summary: Moving into Gotham City wasn't the best of places to move to, but Alfred would have to make due. The other nations hate him, and from what he over heard they want to persuaded (i.e. force, beating, rape whatever, be creative, and make it as dark or threatening as you want) him to take things seriously. Obviously they needed a wake up call, because Alfred is being serious, and changing America policies--by staying away from the others. While there Alfred guards the streets, unknowing making several groups interested in exactly who this mysterious teenager really is...

My Fanfic Rules

1. No Pairings directly with the main character. There can be one-sided pairings and back pairings or even hints but nothing more than that. My main focus is the fanfic plot, not romance.
2. Action, Adventure,Mystery,General--Never Romance. The main plot line will never be romance--don't like, don't read.
3. Chapters will be longer than 500 (or more) words from this point forward. I hate reading short chapters so I won't inflict the same upon my readers. This only exception are drabbles, prologues and shots.
4. Anyone who takes up any of the challenges below get to pick which fanfic will be updated next, AND read the chapter early. If it takes offering up some sort of incentive to add more Hetalia goodness then that's what I'll do.
5. Fanart would be very Appreciated. Double updates for any (one) fanfic you want. Finally got some today April 25,2012!!!! (: Really want to see some of my fanfic being drawn out...T.T
