BLEACH: TOUSHIRO HITSUGAYA. I FREAKING LOVE HIM. ALL TIME FAVORITE CHARACTER. I ADORE/WORSHIP Toushiro Hitsugaya. I love everything about him; his white hair, teal eyes, ice zanpakto, status(Captain of the Tenth Division), emotional backstory, icy attitude, genius- level intelligence, prodigy status(the whole fastest to graduate and youngest to become captain), loyal to the end(besides the DDR. That so does't count), etc. etc. etc. PERIOD. Nothing, and I say nothing, will ever be able to make me dislike him.

However, now that I have introduced my all-time favorite character I now have to talk about the overall plot of Bleach itself as a story. Loved the well-thought-out concept of Life and Death and the Soul Society Arc was my absolute favorite. The other arcs leave much to be desired(in my opinion). I do however find the Zanpakto Arc quite interesting(mostly because of Hyorinmaru's appearance). My critiscim against the other arcs ar mainly because of one factor. Ichigo Kurosaki. Now I'm not saying I hate him...in fact he is probably my second favorite character in Bleach. (Not saying he is my favorite second charater overall) Neverless, I am not pleased at Kubo. Why? And I daresay, Why is Ichigo so powerful compared to Shinigami who have trained for decades?

Now I understand, Ichigo is very, very powerful partly due to him having - 1) crazy teachers (Yoruichi and Kisuke) 2) sheer will power 3) an abnormal amount of reaitsu 4) his utter devotion to protecting his friends, (and by default, everyone else) 5) cool op powers. However, he also happens to have a hollow who is as powerful as a Vasto Lorde, a Viazard mask, a weird op final getsuga form thingy that I have epically failed at spelling, some kinda full bringer form that makes him look like a power ranger, being half quincy and probably a tone of other stuff that I missed. How does Ichigo bypass all the suckish stuff that befalls the shinigami! Oh how I wish Toushiro would get some weird power up. Anyway, this last arc that kubo's been doing...I don't even know...and the latest chapter...I will cry if Tous- ahem. I do not even want to think about it.

NARUTO: Kakashi Hatake. I love him. Genius/prodigy status (youngest chunnin, almost youngest ANBU), white/silver hair, emotinal backstory, emotionless attitude during youth, then the lazy-I-don't-give-a-fudge-but-do-anything-to-protect-my-comrades attitude. (hmm. I seem to love white-haired-somewhat emotionally-stunted-prodigy-genii-who-are-never-the-main-characters-and-are-totally-under-rated-by-the-authors.) Eh. Naruto is fine. The plot, although slightly cliched at times, is very exciting and I find no problems, except again the obvious power differences between the main characters and the side characters.
