Three months after Operation Avengers all is well. Or is it? When Steve and Tony hack into SHIELD to find missing weapons shipments they find more than they bargained for in the form of a prisoner who should, by rights, have been sent to Asgard long ago.

After the battle, Loki finds himself surrounded by the Avengers and waits for a death sentence, but things turn to different direction. Cursed by Thanos and rejected by Odin, Loki has to find a way to survive without his magic and settle old quarrels with mortals. not a real slash for now, but includes some non friendly feelings (m/m). When Thor realizes Loki hasn't been acting himself but has been possessed by the Chitauri - what will he do? Having survived an attempted suicide on the bifrost, Loki is left despondent and unresponsive. Thor does his utmost to help his brother, but having no idea what is wrong with him makes it difficult. To find someone who can help, they travel to Midgard.

So that metal thing on Loki's mouth was an interesting touch. I figured that it would bring up some unpleasent memories for him. Rated T for a smidge of blood.
