-I'm a space-case who wants to be an author later in life. Expect long waits.

-I really love messing up canon. It's one of my favorite things to do. If you don't like that, you should leave now.

-I suck at spelling and rely a lot on spell checker. Please tell me if I chose the wrong word or something.

-I will admit to shipping anything and everything as long as it's well written. I can't write some pairings because they disturb me if I'm not reading them (re: incestuous pairings), but each to their own.

-I believe that if an author inserts an OC, said OC had better make an obvious impact. There should be no useless characters.

I have something that I feel needs to be said. Authors should never have to apologize unless they make an extremely offensive mistake that was an actual recognizable offence. They should not say sorry for taking the story the way they want to. They should be unapologetic for long waits. They shouldn't have to say hiatus. They shouldn't feel the need to explain themselves for anything to us here on this site. They don't owe us anything. We don't owe them anything. No one owes anyone anything here until an actual promise is made. And even then, other things may take priority. But no one should have to tell anyone here what's happening in their lives unless they really want to. We are not obligated to keep a schedule. This is not a job. We are not paid. This should not be a cause for stress. This is an outlet. We all have lives. We all have responsibilities. This is not one of them. If an author can update, that's great! If they can't, they don't have to. It's disappointing when your favorite story doesn't update, I get it, I really do. But I see every update as a gift from the author, because that's what it is. If a story doesn't go the way you hoped, well it's not your story. Cry a river, build a bridge, get over it. I'm sure cannon let you down on that front too. I'm sure they've had annoyingly long waits. They probably aren't sorry. Remember this, before you complain about anything on this site, remember that the author isn't actually getting anything out of this. If you can't say something nice, or at the very least, constructive and kind, just don't say anything. If a story upsets you, remember that you chose to read it. No one forced you, and if they did, it wasn't the author's fault. Fanfiction authors owe their readers less than regular authors. NOT MORE. So stop hating on others creativity. Especially when you don't have a work to your name, or even an account. Anonymous hate is extremely cowardly and makes you look stupid.
