![]() Author has written 18 stories for Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Danny Phantom, Heir series, Twilight, Gemma Doyle Trilogy, and Merlin. Known until 1/31/11 as Carlisle's No. 1 Fan Hey all! Glad you've stumbled across my page! First of all, I must say that the avatar I have is Percy and Annabeth from Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The picture is by burdge-bug and I found it on deviant-art. Burdge-bug, if you're out there and mad, just let me know and I'll change it! I have a YouTube account, so I'll do a bit of shameless promoting - I'm HazelSageHP there and I make very amateur videos, but I'm fairly proud of myself, considering I'm not necessarily a technology person! All of the videos (the very small amount of videos) are Harry Potter, but I may expand one day! Anyways, I thought I'd say a bit about what I like. I am a certified bookworm - utterly obsessed with almost every book I read. Some of my favorites are: the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series (current second favorite of all time), the Harry Potter series (recently passed Percy Jackson as my favorite of all time), the Twilight series (I have a love/hate relationship with this series), the Dresden Files (currently reading), the Mortal Instruments series (currently reading), the Inheritance Cycle, the Faerie Path series, His Dark Materials, the Heir series, the Stravaganza series, the Warriors series (the originals!), and almost any classics, especially the Greek tradgedies and anything by Jane Austen. I also enjoy Greek mythology to a great extent - probably way more than I should! I don't watch TV much anymore, but I admit that I'm a sucker for the old Nickelodeon cartoons. I really like Avatar: The Last Airbender and Danny Phantom. I am now using iTunes to become obsessed with new TV shows. I'm absolutely addicted to Merlin (and am a Merlin/Arthur shipper, which kind of surprised me as I usually only ship slash as a crack pairing or a passing) and I started Doctor Who, which I'm loving but I'm only on the first season so don't spoil me! I'm also going to try watching Sherlock and Chuck if I get a chance so I may join those fandoms soon! I have a near childish fascination with movies. Even if they aren't very good, I'll still probably be amazed simply because they're moving pictures! Disney movies are absolutely superb. As for music tastes, I like almost everything, except rap (sorry to those rap lovers!). I'm really an oldies kind of person myself - 60s all the way! I am currently loving the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack! And I must say that I have an affinity for the instrumental movie soundtracks as well. John Williams is the man. And anyone heard the Avatar (James Cameron's movie, not the kids show!) soundtrack? Left me speechless... Pairings... I could name so many that I like, but I have to say that I am a huge fan of canon, though I may indulge myself in a few crack pairings and maybe one or two non-canon pairings. I am also fairly capable of making fun of the ships I support, but I don't really like outright bashing. I try not to bash pairings I dislike, and I respect people who don't mess with my pairings. I have to say that my favorite pairings are: Percy/Annabeth, Harry/Ginny, Lily/James, Teddy/Victoire, Remus/Tonks, Will/Lyra, Jack/Ellen, Firestar/Sandstorm, Squirrelflight/Brambleclaw, Nick/Georgia, Katara/Aang, Danny/Sam, Merlin/Arthur. I have others I enjoy, but I must say that these are my favorites! In terms of my writing, I admit that I'm quite amateur and I criticize myself pretty harshly. I find it difficult to make things turn out the way I want them to. Constructive criticism is greatly welcomed (once I figure out how to upload my darn stories!). Some of my older stories may be posted without much revision and will be quite immature, but I have a tendency to write nonsense if I'm in the mood. I admit that some of my OCs may be a bit Mary Sue - or I make book characters seem that way. If I do, I apologize to any readers. I have to admit, it's hard to not create a perfect character for me. I always want a character of my own making to be like me, but better, you know? Somehow, that means Mary Sue... So once again, I welcome any suggestions to improve my work! Thank you and enjoy! DISCLAIMER: All of the work I post on this site will probably have mentions of characters, plots, or lyrics that do not belong to me. If you don't recognize it, it probably is mine. Otherwise, it's probably Rick Riordan's or J. K. Rowling's! Stories I like to read and write: Since I read a lot of fantasy, I tend to also like stories where the big secrets come out (people find out Percy's a half-blood, the Cullens are vampires, Danny's half-ghost, Nick and Georgia are Stravaganti, Harry's a wizard, Merlin's a warlock, etc.) and I've written quite a few of them. Most of them I wrote years ago and are more parody-like and immature, but I may post some of them later. I tend to write fluff and happy endings, but every once-in-a-while, I'll be in a dark mood and write or read something rather angsty or bitter, but that doesn't happen too often. I admit that I'm a fan of the Next Generation for Harry Potter and have that whole universe worked out in my head, so I apologize if I spring a future idea from my imagination into a story with the Next Generation! I also admit to being a fan of the time travel stories and will probably try my hand at a few of those eventually. I'm a fan of romance, but I'm not very good at writing it, so I apologize if any of my romance stories make anyone gag! I create OCs sometimes that may not be the most well-developed characters and I would enjoy criticism on how to make them more real! Note: If I end up posting longer stories, multi-chaptered stories instead of one-shots, I will warn you all now that I will be a sporadic updater. I'm prone to fits of inspiration where I'll think nonstop about a story and then I'll get stuck or distracted and forget about it for months. I'll try not to post chapter stories until they are done on my computer, but if I post an unfinished work... It may stay unfinished for a while. I apologize in advance! |
