Hey all, this is Liung, I'm a 20 year old living in southern Ontario, Canada.

I've been writing (sporadically) all my life, usually to excess. I've written numerous short stories, long stories, poems, and even a short screenplay. Three of my stories and one of my poems have been published in anthologies that were sold across Canada, so I'm very proud of that.

My writing style is very unique in that I don't have one. Every single time I write it will always be something different. If I'm writing, it generally starts with an idea of how I want to write it, not what it's going to be about. My poem Love's Acronym started with me complaining about how poems will cut a sentence in half, putting it on two lines, making you think you have to pause at the end of the line. So to make my point, I just started writing a bunch of stuff, and cutting the sentences. If you want to read it, head over to my FictionPress profile, the link to it is at the end of my profile. What started as a rebellious statement against a style of poetry actually turned out rather profound.

Hehe, learn this quickly: I don't know how to be succinct. It's like impossible for me.

While I've written tons of my own stories, I can't say I've ever really written much fanfiction before. I'm still not entirely sure how to go about starting. My own characters are bossy enough that I'm a bit wary of borrowing someone else's. In the meantime, I'll settle with helping other people out. After 4 years of AP English (I got the highest score possible on the exam, YAY!) I am really good at stuff like proofreading and editing. Whenever I write, I beg people to give me criticism. Anything! But usually all I get is "Great job!" NOOOO!! I need NEGATIVE criticism! How can I improve if I don't know what I'm doing wrong?! I want you to tell me "this dialogue feels awkward" and "that scene was boring" and such. That way I can change it! So I do others the same courtesy I wish others would give me. I'll tell you what I like and what I don't like about stories, and suggestions on how to change it. Sorry to those who don't like negative, you can rip mine apart all you want, as long as after you finish writing "THAT SUCKED SO BAD" you tell me why you thought so.

That said, I'm finally starting to write fanfiction, and post it even. The 100 Theme Challenge is proving to be quite challenging (haha) because I'm writing it out of order, but must post it in order. I also have an Axis Powers Hetalia/Konjiki no Gash Bell crossover in the works (hampered by my limited knowledge of KnGB) and I'm working productively away on a Hetalia AU. It'll be Canada-centric (of course) and it's also a genderbender! Pairings will be kept secret, as I like to keep things in doubt. You won't know who's hooking up with whom until it actually happens! Heh heh heh heh... The timeline's running from the end of the last year of high school, through the summer, and into university. I totally did not choose that particular timeline simply because that's the process I'm currently going through and can therefore put in unneccessary amounts of detail into it. You're completely wrong. (Yeah right.) Anyways, with shameless self-advertising, remember what I said before about completely random things inspiring me to write my stories? My coming story was sparked by the TV Tropes page on Lampshading. HAHAHA Does that tell you anything about what the content will be? Interested yet? I was planning on breaking the fourth wall a whole bunch too, making the story vaguely surreal, but it's coming to life and, as usual, paying me absolutely no heed. My stories are such a disobedient bunch. And the characters are being mean to me, too. Near the beginning of the story, Antonio popped into my head and solemnly informed me that if I wanted him to be a good little character and cooperate, I was to either to become suddenly fluent in Spanish or immediately find someone who was. Thankfully I'm managed to wiggle out of that one (and not just because I couldn't get into the Spanish class) but that probably gives a small idea of how pushy my characters can be.

I'm really bad at updating regularly for a number of reasons.

Reason #1: I refuse to write if I'm not in the mood for it, or if the story's fighting me. I'm not going to force it. In a choice between updating on time with a crappy story or updating late with a good quality one, I'm sorry but it'll be late every time.

Reason #2: I have no control over my stories. My stories often have their own ideas as to what's going to happen, and if I try to disagree they'll fight me every step of the way. As such, characters and subplots and basically the entire thing tends to evolve a whole lot as it goes. Often the entire thing gets revamped. As such, I have to be careful how much I put out, as I may need to take it back.

Reason #3: I'm a damn perfectionist, and you're crazy if you're getting anywhere near my story until it's as near perfect as I can make it. I write the story. I read the whole thing over and make any changes I feel necessary. Put that on repeat about 10 times. When I've made it as perfect as I can with as many spell checks, reading it out loud, and such that I can, I hunt down and make my family, friends, and anyone else within my reach read it too, and tell me absolutely anything they find off about it. After I've sucked them dry, THEN I send it to my beta to repeat the process. After I've finally read it about 10 more times, then and ONLY then do I post it here so that you all can pick it apart even more. In fact I want you to pick it apart. Stroke my ego if that's what you want, but if you see a mistake I want to know about it, so I can fix it and never make it again. It's a long and involved process, as you can imagine.

I demand a higher degree of quality from myself than I ever would someone else. It's professionalism, and a pride in my work that aims to produce something I won't be ashamed of. There's no meaning in creating something I won't be happy with, and nothing anyone says will make me put anything but my absolute best into anything I create (much to the exasperation of my high school art teacher, who I don't think got a single assignment from me on time in the four years she taught me).

That doesn't mean I won't try to update regularly. It just means it's not likely. As it is, I'm not uploading any of my new story until I have a huge number of chapters stockpiled, and I'll be uploading them on a biweekly basis to try my absolute best to ensure that once I start uploading, they will be regular uploads. I understand that inconsistency is a fault of mine, and this is how I'm working around it.
