Author has written 4 stories for Doctor Who, Avengers, and Sherlock. Call me Naught. [Long story.] Just a broke college graduate, here, tinkering around with scenes that refused to leave my head. I'm also dontcallmecarrie on tumblr, and Dont_call_me_Carrie on AO3. As a word of warning: I've got Stuff Going On in my life that's putting writing on the backburner, so updates will be sporadic. That being said, I've had this percolating in the back of my head even when I should've been studying in high school, so don't worry about me abandoning my stories. I'm currently posting to AO3 first, then here once I'm done with the fic for the sake of organization. Thing I'm focusing on at the moment: since I have writer's block in Blurred Lines, currently working on Iron Man Lives Again [Or, Why Team Captain America Didn't Think This Through]. The fics themselves: Blurred Lines' main premise is 'what if Martha Jones [ So, a sound-off of the fics spawned by the original premise: Blurred Lines [the main fic, which shares the same title, looks at the divergences from the moment Martha first left the TARDIS, onwards.] Turns out that messing with the fabric of reality has consequences, because the lines between reality and fiction just got that bit more blurry. Somewhere, a man named Sherlock Holmes gives everyone around him a headache, while the Doctor's courting chaos throughout time and space doing the same. Status: writer's block hell, but reformatting some things for consistency's sake. Blurred Lines: During the Year [the prequel to the main fic, and also looks at what happens when universes merge.] Moriarty was busy during the Year that Never Was, Sherlock's contribution towards the Resistance's efforts were felt, and Martha Jones' journey had her rubbing elbows not only with the Resistance, but mercenaries and lawyers as well. Because when on the run, life makes for strange bedfellows. [I alluded to a lot of things in the main fic, and this will be more for those who are confused by the extent of the trauma she's got.] Status: not a high priority, slow work in progress. The Blue Pill Tenative-fics-in-the-works-that-I'm-trying-to-ignore-in-favor-of-the-main-fic-but-writer's-block-demands-otherwise: [titles subject to change] And Now For Something, Completely Different [The Moriarty AU] - wherein the dark-haired genius who recruited Martha Jones wasn't Sherlock, but Moriarty. Things change, obviously. Turns out that running through time and space and the apocalypse makes for good experience in this sort of thing. [aka the AU where Martha Jones trips and accidentally goes from the newest doctor on call to the right-hand (wo)man of arguably one of the most powerful men in the Northern Hemisphere, without realizing.] Live Through The Rain MCU/WtNV crossover AU, wherein Maria Carbonell was born and raised in a friendly desert community where the sun was hot, the moon was beautiful, and mysterious lights passed overhead on a regular basis. This...changes things. Iron Man Lives Again [Or, Why Team Captain America Didn't Think This Through] started out as a spitefic inspired by every single anti-Tony Stark post and a 'if you're going to be evil might as well do it right' thread on tumblr. It's now a series connected by the idea of 'okay, you wanted him as a villain? Here you go'. It became a series when I realized there were so many times he could've snapped, and with different motivations even. Each fic, if it goes according to plan [ The War is Far From Over Now Diverges from Iron Man 3 onwards; in this AU, Bruce Banner ended up being the tipping point, and JARVIS ends up resembling HAL far more than most people would be comfortable with. Status: trying to reformat over 50k of fic into something FFN'll support. Slow going. |
