Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, X-overs, Independence Day, and Mass Effect. Name: Joseph Age: 32 (Feb 15) Location: Denver, CO, USA Inactive Stories: (I'll get to these eventually, but my muse is on other stories right now) Rose Potter and the Two-Faced Man: My first Fem!Harry story Harry Potter and the Fictional Universe: My spin on the Time Travel sub-genre, but with a twist A Potted Black Rose: Challenge fic, Harry is raied by the Black Sisters after Sirius dies in Azkaban, making Harry his sole beneficiary and Lord Black. Harry gets a Harem.Finished Stories: Femina Mutatio: Inspired by a story I found on Deviant Art, a different Fem!Harry story. Serious Foe Yay going on. The Grey Lord: Potterverse Lichdom:A response to a challenge posted on AH(dot)com. Self-insert. The Grey Lord: Independence Lich: The continuing saga of the self-insert lich started in Potterverse Lichdom. Crossover with Independence Day.Never to by Finished Stories: (These will never be finished, and likely will be removed in time, marked Complete) The Grey Lord: The Crazy Years: The third story in the Grey Lord self-insert sage. HP/ID4/ME triple crossover. Dropped due to Grey Lord reimagining.Currency Notes: I'm using a Modified GSK for my stories. GSK: While Galleons are worth 17 Sickles, and Sickles worth 29 Knuts, the size and Pound value of the coins are different from Canon. Galleons are the same size as a Tenth Ounce Gold Brittania (as well as the same 917 fine). Sickles are the same size as a Half Ounce Silver Brittania (as well as the same 958 fine). Knuts are similarly a Half Ounce coin, about the same diameter as the US half-dollar, and as thick as a Pound coin, and made from the same high-copper Bronze as the pre-1992 One Penny and Two Pence coins. Consequently, a Galleon is worth the same as 1/10 of a Troy Ounce of Gold (£21.60 in 1991, £17.85 in 2001. £99.41 in 2011, as of July 31), though the Goblins will take a 20th part (also known as 5%) as an exchange fee. Family Notes I'm using Dorea Potter (née Black) and Charlus Potter as Harry's (and Rose's) Grandparents. I know it's not quite exactly matching to canon, but since Rowling hasn't actually stated one way or the other (as of November 11, 2011), I'm going the way that makes more sense for me from a Chekhov's Gun standpoint. That's why Rose's middle name is Dorea (she was named after her two grandparents, Rose Evans and Dorea Potter). It might also come into play when dealing with Sirius and the House of Black (since Harry/Rose is thus related to the House of Black, and can inherit not just via his will, but also by relation). Also, In my stories Hermione's parents are Dan and Emma Granger (I'm enough of an H/Hr shipper that I like the names). Harry in Fictional probably won't meet them till second year (or at least the end of first year), and Rose has a similar timeline (so either the platform at the end of first year, or shopping at the start of second year, whichever makes more sense for the friendship between Rose and Hermione when I get there). I'll probably also come up with some specific name for Luna's mother (Selene as of aPBR), as well as Blaise's mother and Daphne's father (which will be consistent across my stories). Just like how my money is consistent, I'll try to make sure my names are likewise consistent (so Lucy will be three years ahead of Harry/Rose and be a Ravenclaw Prefect). The status of Lily Potter will only be different in aPBR, as is the status of Draco's parentage. I didn't think Rose would be a good name for a pureblood witch/squib, so I went for Olivia as Petunia's mother in aPBR, though Olivia's mother is Rosa, so that's close enough. Other little changes like this will be occurring, but only around the changed instituted by the Challenge. Children from the 2017 Femina Mutatio are subject to butterflies, and so they'll not be consistent across stories (obviously). Author's Notes: Those who've read one or more of my stories will notice a common theme, that of dislike for the word 'muggle'. Just a note, while I do read anonymous or "Guest" reviews, I delete them from the stories in question. I do not ever delete reviews from signed in reviewers (don't think I can), and sometimes even reply to them (if I feel a reply is warranted). So, if you want me to take your review seriously, and perhaps even open up a dialogue with me, the author, do sign in when you are reviewing. 04/20/2015 - Well, I've finally decided to put my formerly active stories on Hiatus, and close down The Crazy Years and the rest of the Grey Lord universe. I got inspired by another story on alternatehistory(dot)com and decided to re-do my self-insert multi-crossover arc with a different starting condition (less overt power, more soft power). I'm done outlining the first story and have a basic outline of the seven stories in the series, and I'm working on the first draft of the first story. I won't start posting the first story until it's finished, and when I do it'll be weekly. |
