![]() Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, X-Men, Naruto, and Grimm. For those interested in how the updates are going, there's information in a special section below. Also, in addition to FFnet, I'm now on adultfanfiction(dot)net under the username "Tainted_Blood_Lust," so if one of my stories goes mysteriously missing (read: deleted by admins), it'll be updated there. Fair warning though, I don't actually update there now and will probably only do so when forced to. So yes, the content on FFnet is all that's available; there is no more to be had elsewhere. X Also: Copy and paste this into your profile if you hate when people copy and paste things into their profiles (and make stupidly long ones that have nothing to do with their stories). XD X NEW! Progress update for Winter Lord. New! chapter for Winter Lord. Things. Author things. X Previous Username(s): Tainted Blood Lust Name: call me Seth Occupation: What occupation? Sex: a previously-unknown fifth sex Age: Age is but a number, no? Location: here Sexual Preference: Take a blind shot in the dark and you just might find it bleeding on the floor. Pervert Power Level: over 9,000 Favorite Bands: Metallica (number one on my list, even if St. Anger is a pile of shit), Tchaikovsky (Rock may be my wife but Classical is my mistress), and Disturbed (I love all of their albums... except Believe) at the moment Favorite Reading: FANFICTION!! (as is evidently obvious), Lovecraft (I love the racist bastard and his nether-realm tentacle space horrors), anything Stephen King, anything Jim Butcher (I blame the DLP forums for that one), Red Dragon by Thomas Harris (better than Silence of the Lambs, surprisingly), comics (older, post-1975 X-men comics, the Sandman series (tried to introduce a friend once to Sandman; she said it was "too trippy" lol), Constantine (love him!), other random, interesting series I can't be bothered to remember), mango (on very rare occasions) Favorite Vidja Games: DRAGON AGE!!! (I'm so excited for Inquisition! squee!), KOTOR (1 and 2 pretty much equally), anything Pokemon, TES (mostly Oblivion and Skyrim, since my copy of Morrowind has barely been touched), Mass Effect (they each have their good and bad points but ME1's the best for me), Final Fantasy (they all interest me (except 10 because Tidus is a shithead with an annoying voice actor) but my favorites are 7 and 12 in a tie for the lead; 12 needs more love!) Fandoms: Harry Potter (for the most part until it eventually collapses into itself like a MarySueGenderbenderShitfic black hole), select Dragon Age fics, Final Fantasy (mostly 7, but some 4, 8, and if I can find it, 9 or 12) anything that could possibly contain my favorite kinks (incest, extreme violence, rare slash, awesome action/adventure, and most especially all of the above) Hobbies: IRL trolling, reading, drawing, writing, being a paranoid bastard and/or disturbed pervert OTP: From the Dragon Age vidja game series, the Brood Mother (DO:O) and finalboss!Orisino (DA2). Make they forever make sweet, fleshy love. Current Icon: I stand by my beliefs. More Information?: No. X STORY STATUS: I write everything in a notebook or just straight up type that shit. I used to give myself a set minimum for notebook page requirement, but have long since given up on that. What I write is what I write. :P Nowadays I have chapter outlines, anyway, which always somehow manage to net me more words than I originally intend to put in there. My chapters end up being anywhere from 7,000 to 12,000 words (or more! DX) long. Stupid things keep taking on a life of their own. If my chapters start looking like they'll become like 30,000 words in all or something equally ridiculous, though, I make an executive decision to chop them in half somewhere. No cruel and unusual punishment for all the wonderful readers from the author intended... usually. Scourge: Chapter Five (Year of the Transformation I) 40 percent written and 40 percent typed (planned) NOTES: NEW-ER: I've looked back on this and decided it needs to edited and retooled a bit. Less gratuitousness overall, really. I'm still working (slowly) on the next chapter, but it probably won't come out until I've updated the previous chapters to be better. NEW (and all the rage): I had a major writer's block for the longest time on this and basically everything creative. It's been trickling back, though, thankfully. I was working on an unplanned scene, however, which my motivation is strange about and so it took a bit of effort. I finally managed to finish it in the beginning of May. So far, the progress hasn't been near as quick as my other story, Winter Lord, but it's getting along well enough. As a random side note, I'll soon be changing Scourge's summary. The current one doesn't match what's going on at all, and my ideas have since evolved. Unfortunately, I'll have to make two, one for the first Harry Potter part and the other for the second Naruto part. Stupid ideas taking on lives of their own... OLD (yet still strangely relevant): I finally got a good idea on what to do for Chapters Five and Six (Year of the Transformation I and II, respectively). Bah, I had writer's block on the outline for a long time. Thankfully, the ideas are coming back. Now, I'm done with it. In addition, I started the outline for Chapter Seven (Fragments of Yesterday III). I've already got four of the scenes planned out (which is probably half of the chapter). Anyways, I'll apologize in advance to those of you who love Sirius Black. He isn't going to be the main focus of third year. At all. He doesn't fit with my plot very well (or at all), so he's going to only be someone mentioned in Chapter Six (and maybe Seven). And no, I won't change that even if all of my readers beg me not to. I'm writing the story, remember? Meaning: his fate is in my hands... *evil laugh* Chapter Eight (currently unnamed), which is about fourth year, is sketchy in my mind at the moment. The only thing that's definitively planned is an epic battle between Harry and Voldemort. I'm also working on a sort of manual for the Scourge magic system (which screws the original Harry Potter magic over happily), but it's still in the beginning stages. Also, I have no idea where to post it... D: *sigh* When I'm done with it, I guess I'll offer to send it to people who are interested by e-mail (however few there are). Winter Lord: Chapter Three (Hypothermia) 5 percent written and 0 percent typed (planned) NOTES: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! New chapter out! Thank all the gods and goddesses I don't believe in! Um yes, sorry 'bout that, folks. *hides in corner shamefully* Your beloved author is appropriately cowed. Still, I can't believe it's been two whole fucking years! Jesus, where has the time gone... Be reassured I'm back to working on fanfiction (Winter Lord, at the least) again, and you can nag me to update again. ...I love you, too. Also, the simply wonderful reviews have inspired me greatly in my writing, and having started from pretty much no outline for the next chapter, I now have chapters three and four both fully planned! I'm starting three (Hypothermia; to go with four, Hyperthermia, as a two-parter), and it's coming along well so far. I feel so happy Breathe Not His Name: Chapter One (Untitled as of Yet) 5 percent written and 5 percent typed (no written plan; mental one still attempting to figure itself out) NOTES: I originally started this to be my funny, parody-ish side project that I could work on when I'm actually in the mood to write humor. Turns out, I have a mental-physical disability (it's somehow both at the same time) that cripples me and about 0 other people. Yes, I'm talking about "I-Can't-Write-Funny-Stories-Because-They're-Not-Serious-Enough Disorder." Not many people know about it, seeing as I'm the only one with it, so I'm on a mission to raise awareness for this very serious illness. If you'd like to donate money to finding a cure, please burn all your cash in the nearest trash can. Thank you for your time. So, I have to start all over. I don't like doing things twice. The Dark-Mind's Eye (formerly 'His Sentinel, the Wolf'): DELETED It was, in three words, confusing as fuck. Every review I had - every single one! - told me this in some combination of words. After going over it again, I realized that yes, it made no sense. When even the author thinks their story makes no sense, then you know something's wrong. I might have rewrote it again, if not for the fact that it was a stupid plot to begin with. But hey, what do you expect from a story written in my high school days? Dark Side of the Moon: Book One: DELETED Just cleaning up the crap by deleting this one. Besides, I don't have the patience to write out all seven years of schooling for Harry (and possibly beyond). The Most Cunning Beast of the Field: DELETED Honestly, people, I hated this thing. It needed to die a violent and horrible death. Besides, I don't really play Kingdom Hearts anymore. Schwarze Sonne: DELETED I had absolutely no ideas for this one. Right now, though, it's being turned into a fan-manga with the title Stygian Fate. That isn't coming along too well. XD Hail Infernal World: DELETED I honestly don't know why I put this one up. I had no ideas for it! You think I would've learned by now... The Dreams of Butterflies: DELETED Bah. I had to get rid of this one. Really, it was going nowhere. Plus, no one actually read it (70-something hits since its creation) nor left any reviews. No response means no motivation. That and the plot was kind of similar to Scourge (or, at least, certain elements of it); I don't like writing two stories with the same plot (in any way, shape, or form). Death's Pale Court: ABANDONED Fuck it. Just fuck it. I've totally given up on it. The plot's crappy, the writing's crappy, everything about this just makes me want to mutilate it. Harry's become a Gary Stu, I have a fucking OC in there. Everything is changed around to the 'WTF is this shit guys?' point. Quite frankly, it has no future. I had plans up to a certain part, but after that, it was just a big blank. Before, my interest was flailing with it, but now that's completely gone. :sigh: I know people won't be happy with this announcement, but hey - who's the author here? (I don't even know why people like it in the first place...) Maybe (and that's a huge ass maybe), I'll rewrite it in the future, though it's unlikely. Even if I do rewrite it, it'll take a long while. (The Dark-Mind's Eye is a perfect example of how long it takes me to rewrite things. That one took a year if not more for one chapter rewrite.) It'll also take more interest in the damn thing to begin the rewriting process. Right now? I highly doubt such a future. Complain all you like; I doubt it'll change my mind. Where Justice Naked Is: What the fuck do you want? It's a damn oneshot. Wow. O.O I have so many deleted fics... XD X POSSIBLE STORIES: Coming soon to a theater near you! Dark Dis' Door Stands Open Fandom: Pokemon Pairing(s) (dominant to least dominant): Ash x Brock x Misty (main), James x Jessie (mentioned), Giovanni x Sabrina (mentioned) Progress: Chapter One (Glimpse of Heaven, Remembered Hell) 15 percent written and 15 percent typed (planned) Official Summary: It's easy to get into Hell... In a bleak future where Team Rocket has completely taken over the Kanto region and is making their way through Johto, Ash, Misty, and Brock fight to resist their totalitarian rule. Every day is a struggle, and those that fight Team Rocket, a resistance that needs no name, are slowly but surely falling apart. The battle-hardened trio are desperate and will do anything to change this, no matter the cost. So, after they come upon a mysterious book on what seemed like a regular infiltration of a Rocket base, they find a way to do this – time travel. A miraculous yet vile ritual is contained within the book, but it certainly isn't easy. Ash, Misty, and Brock journey in the dark world of Pokémon on a quest to find all they need to change the future, including three legendaries: Jirachi the Wish-Maker, Celebi the Master of Time, and Giratina the Monster Between Worlds. And failing is not an option. ...but not to escape. NOTES: I've been wanting to do a Pokemon fanfic for forever (I swear, The Dreams of Butterflies does not count). However, I couldn't come up with any ideas that would work. I tried something with Pokemon XD, but that didn't get beyond the first scene in the first chapter. No inspiration there. Then, I tried to take over someone else's abandoned story (one about a experimented-upon Eevee and an OC trainer in the Kanto region), and I did get more done on that one. However, I had no idea on what to do after the pre-made stuff ran out. Then, finally, I got this idea. It started off slowly, ideas not being very forthcoming, but after a while, they just kept coming at me (celebration! :D). I wanted to put a pairing in here but not make it the main focus, and well, I've wanted to do something with Ash x Brock x Misty (which, apparently goes by the name of Sakata shipping, something I had to spend an hour searching on Google for) for a long while. I mean, seriously, if you've ever watched the anime (especially the earlier episodes), you'll see the definite dynamics between those three. I find that it's a real shame that the only Pokemon fics with more than two partners in the main pairing are harem fics 99% of the time. Every other one is either general or just a pairing with two people (most likely, one male, one female). So frustrating... Anyways, hopefully, the appeal of this being a Pokemon fic will keep my interest. Right now, I'm really obsessed with the games, and I've even been watching the anime! (Although, I had to start with the first season because I wanted to go in order. As of this moment, I'm still on season one. Good god, do you know how many episodes there are in all the seasons? Too many, way too many... D: At least, they're fun to watch.) Viva la Pokemon! Writ in Blood Fandom: Dragon Age: Origins Pairing(s) (dominant to least dominant): I'm unsure at this moment. I'm severely tempted to pair Jowan and Surana, but we'll see how that little idea progresses. Official Summary: In Duncan's last attempt to recruit Grey Wardens before his untimely death, he ventures to Fereldan's Circle of Magi. There, he finds Surana, a quiet, unassuming elf with a hidden potential. However, he doesn't return at all, for this time, Surana is successful in his escape attempt with Jowan and Lily. Once out, they find the lands that once looked greener are shriveled and decayed. Besieged on all sides by hate, the only option seems to be the last bastion of mages, the one place where Magic is Might and the sky is the limit - the Tevinter Imperium. But in a land where power is everything, they find themselves struggling to survive. As their lives spiral downward, Surana and Jowan are sent to the Imperium's last stop before death, where the weaklings are sent as canon fodder for political machinations: the Tevinter Forces. Before being sent to fight the Qunari, Surana tries one last-ditch attempt to gain more power by making a deal with a force no mortal should dare to - an Old God. The immortal god demands that Surana free one of his brethren from his frozen state. It seems a rather simple request at first for such a grand power, and in his foolishness, the elf accepts. Unknowingly, he sets off an ancient prophecy and now, he is doom-driven to free the rest of the Old Gods from their forced slumber. No matter the cost. NOTES: This, like all ideas, started out small but had since grown vastly. I, for one, blame the DA mythos. :P Mythology, legends, and such have always interested me (as seen readily in Scourge), so I'm really enjoying making up the AU world for Writ in Blood with all the Old Gods and the different races and whatnot. Also, it's fun to see what I can do with characters to give them some more dimension - because, let's face it, canon Jowan has little to no personality, even in the Mage Origin. Besides, I always thought he was a bit... wimpy to be a blood mage. I know blood mages jump off the deep end for different reasons and all, but the guy looks like he'd panic if he killed a fly or something! So with all this pulling me in, I'm beginning to think Writ in Blood will eventually become a reality. Don't hold your breath, though; I've said that before. Random side note, this was originally called Upon Calamitous Wings. I was painfully aware of its level of crappy-ness but for the longest time, couldn't think of anything else. Every day I thank the gods and goddesses of religions I don't believe in that I did. XD Necropolis Fandom: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Pairing(s) (dominant to least dominant): I'm not sure, really. Truthfully, I'd like to try something new with this one and just let it flow naturally. If there just happens to be sexy stuff happening along the way, it won't be because it was preplanned. Official(-ish) Summary: It's about Mithryl, the crazy, scary male Dunmer dragonborn and his adventures through Skyrim. Though, in a non-humorous, non-parody/satire sense. It's about him discovering what this sense of destiny he's felt looming over him his whole life is really about and also about how power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's more of an epic saga than a simple re-telling and only half of it involves the game quests. The second half of Necropolis is about the consequences of all Mithryl's actions - and in some cases, inaction. Another huge part of it is how the dragons don't just automatically follow Mithryl because he defeated Alduin and they're pissed. The world has to lay down their grievances against each other and fight against the dragons terrorizing everything in their efforts to establish dov dominance once more. So yeah, it's awesome. NOTES: None at the moment. Will add more later. X And now for something completely different. X MUST READS: (I'll put up more tomorrow... later... eventually... maybe sometime this century.) [X] Berserk by Kentaro Miura TYPE: manga An awesome beyond belief, violent read. Also, the art is to die for! There's as much action as something like Bleach (though, more graphic, I must say... and with fewer, less confusing character... why are the swords characters?!) but it still has lots of amazing, detailed background. (Also, oddly enough, it's the manga with the best-drawn horses I've ever seen. I wish mine were half as good... DX) And less action lines. A lot less action lines. Funnily enough, I saw a picture somewhere that compared Berserk and Bleach. It was one of Kentaro Miura's beautiful two-page layouts, the one with Guts and Griffith staring each other down with a sunset and tons of trees and nature in the background, and then there was another version with just Guts and Griffith with a white background filled with only action lines - representing Bleach, of course. Laughed my ass off at that one. *sigh* So true... Also, the plot's just as amazing. True, Griffith is trying to rule the world like any villain worth his evil science, but the way he does it is unique. Also, people sincerely like him. XD Guts is the only one who sees his true nature and has witnessed the depths to which Griffith can sink. The characters have real substance to them and I'm on the edge of my seat reading it because I never know where it'll go. Additionally, even when a character finally gets to their goal or gains some power or device or whatever to help them, it's not without cost. For instance, later in the manga (around volume 30 or so), Guts gets this awesome, sort of magical armor that helps him kick ass even more. However, the price is steep, and he tries to avoid using it whenever possible (though, the way the universe throws crap at him, he usually has to use it anyway). Hell, he could even lose his mind and kill everyone around him, friend and foe alike, if he isn't careful. As if that wasn't good enough reason to read it, the members of Guts's little adventure party actually hold their own weight! Sure, they don't cleave everything in half with a sword no mortal should be able to lift, much less wield, but they have their own weapons and styles that get things done. If they hadn't chosen to aid Guts, realistically he would've failed long before now. So in conclusion, Berserk is a manga you should try if you're into that type of genre; hell, even if you aren't! It's a wonderful piece of work that's well thought out and beautifully drawn. You'll be glad you did. [X] The Never Played Symphonies by Stina the Wicked TYPE: fanfiction Honestly, it's the most awesome ItaSasu fic out there that I've read so far. Every true ItaSasu fan worth their salt HAS to read this. It's like the basic diet of one or something! I know some may find the long chapters and plot that doesn't immediately jump into everything and ends with 30,000 words off-putting, but, trust me, it is SO worth it. Every. Single. Little. Bit. Just go read it... NOW!! NOTE: I've noticed Stina took it down from FFnet. However, you can find her here and at y!gallery. [X] Circular Reasoning by Swimdraconian TYPE: fanfiction It's a Harry Potter fic that I absolutely love. It's a dark!Harry story about him from a war-torn, apocalyptic world going back in time to his Third Year body (which is waaaaay better than that First Year starting over shit - I hate that most times) after dying. He tries to adjust to this shift and change things while still remaining his lovely personality (the darkness and twisted mentality just pour out). It's a very violent fic (blood and gore abound), which makes it all the better (in my mind). At one point, he skins the face off of a guy and wears it to sneak into a muggles' hideout. Delicious. The plot isn't some of the simple shit a lot of authors put on here. Harry is conflicted with himself (he accepts his twisted mindset, though) periodically throughout it, so it's not just him turning instantly Dark (for one lame reason or another) and being absolutely convinced of everything without any doubts whatsoever. Also, yes, Dumbledore is manipulative but not to the extent some people go to. Seriously, I saw a fic once that set Dumbles as the background ruler of the entirety of Wizarding England. Literally everyone was influenced by him in some way. Then, they all turned on Harry, as per Dumbles' orders. I couldn't get past the fist chapter - it was that shitty. Anyways, go read it. It's worth it. [X] Ichi the Killer by Hideo Yamamoto TYPE: manga This manga, in my humble opinion, is the epitome of hard core. Seriously, guys, though, DON'T read it if you have problems with blood, gore, the taboo, full-frontal nudity, and everything like that. It's not really for the faint of heart. For example, there are scenes of necrophilia in there (silhouettes, admittedly though) and others of nasty torture (I shudder to think of a guy's private parts being bathed in a pot of boiling oil). There's a good reason parts of Japan banned this manga. That said, if you can read all that without puking your guts out, then go do it. Anyway, it's about gangs in the Japanese red light district and how this one little group of outcasts is trying to disrupt the whole thing. It starts out when the outcast group's main go-to guy for killing, codename "Ichi," kills one of the gangs' boss (and his whore to boot). It begins this chain of events that leads the gang's boss' son to seek out revenge. All of the gangs in the district are soon turned against each other in a grand scheme of the outcasts' leader, Jiji. Meanwhile, Ichi keeps having flashbacks and killing people. He tries to face his own problems dealing with his sick nature. Still, I haven't actually finished the manga yet. I'm only on volume five so far. BUT I'm sure it'll get better as I go on. I'm really looking forward to finishing this one. (That'll probably be it for now.) X Fin |
