![]() Author has written 13 stories for Harry Potter, and NCIS. Name: Ilona Country: The Netherlands. 21-07-2018: Turns out that the person who was going to continue The Mistake has completely left this website. I haven't heard anything from her anymore, so I think if anybody else wants to continue The Mistake, just let me know. The same goes for my story Drifting. I don't think I will ever continue those stories, it's been too long since I managed to write anything for them, or anything at all really. 15-02-2017: In my life there have been some changes. I went to uni and finished a master's degree in Children's literature. About a week after getting my degree I started a new job which keeps me busy. I have mostly been reading a lot of children's books as well as working on articles. I do still read fanfiction (as well as an interesting academic study about fanfiction and their communities), but haven't been writing since earlier this year. Maybe one day it will happen again. I still have some ideas for stories stored away. I'm straying from Harry Potter though and am delving in The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and NCIS stories. 20-11-2013. Shame on me. More than a year has passed since I last added something to this page. I should actually remove some of my profile, it's getting quite long. I love how people still read (and review) my stories. In fact, just this week I got a request to translate Behind The Rainbow in Russian. And of course I said yes (who would want to say no?) So thanks to Lainind for wanting to translate the whole thing. 17-08-2012. It seems time really does fly! My gosh, I have been reading stories, but haven't written anything since my last update (oh yes, that short story for NCIS). Trouble is that I have lost a great deal of inspiration years ago. From time to time I try to write something down, but I keep thinking it's crap. Possibly I'm setting my standards too high. My focus has also shifted more towards NCIS. It's hard to keep writing Harry Potter, when I read NCIS stories much more often. I keep telling myself I really should update, and write something, but everytime I just look at the screen and get nowhere at all. Ugh, I hate it. And to think, there's still people putting my stories on author's alert and reviewing (thanks by the way). Oh, and for the people who have read/ are going to read my HP stories: keep in mind that the 5th/6th and 7th book weren't included (heck, some of them weren't even published yet) when I started writing. I got some comments on the fact that Petunia must recognise Snape. Eh, sorry, not in my stories, because nothing was published about them at that point in time! Of course, that's also something that stops my inspiration. It's hard to write in a universe, where the actual author (J.K. Rowling) has made a completely different choice in storyline. I keep on trying, although this weekend I will mostly try to avoid a fried brain, as we're expecting hot weather! My small swimming pool is set up in the garden, and I'm going to sit in it, and try to keep it cool! Love, relative. |
