Hello! Since you've come across my page here's a bit about me. I'm Kanako and I love fanfiction (obviously :P). I'm a HUGE bookworm and I adore writing. I am persuaded on occasion to do requests and I beta-read as well (however, my plate is very full at the moment, so any requests for either would hugely depend on my schedule). If you want to ask me any questions about anything, you can always PM me, or find me on: DeviantArt (under PrincessKanako) Hoping you've stayed with me so far, I promise right now that while I have a ton of stories to be updated (and actually posted), I will eventually get around to completing them. No story is EVER going to be abandoned on my account. If it's on hiatus, it does NOT translate to me giving up, it translates to my minuscule brain being temporarily fried and/or I have been kidnapped by real life. C'est la vi. This spot is dedicated to my wonderful mum Katrina, who never gave up on me, encouraged me to follow my dreams and was there for me every step of the way. Miss you mum. Everything I am, you helped me to be. May 1st, 2017. Ongoing Stories Salvation (Albion: The Enchanted Stallion) Despite her adventures in Albion, Evie is lonely. The Lost Lady - An Unexpected Journey (Hobbit) He turned his head to look down at her, his expression, for one moment, uncertain. And she couldn't stand that look, so she smiled and said, "You may have lost your inheritance, Master Oakenshield... but you haven't lost any of your pride." For just one tiny second out of time, she saw the ghost of a smile curl one side of his mouth. Undergoing editing. Scattered Roses (Jane Eyre) Dying and being reborn into Jane Eyre's body wasn't exactly what Rose had in mind. Then again, she hadn't exactly planned on dying either. Self-Insert, OC. Hyakkiyakō no ōjo (Nurarhiyon no Mago) Himeko had no worries before, beyond homework, boys and pimples. Episode III - Revenge of the Sith: (Star Wars fandom) Three years on, a war wages across the galaxy; the Jedi Knights against the evil General Grievous. Caught in the middle is Anakin Skywalker, torn between his duty to protect the galaxy and his vow to save his wife. Can Anakin resist the lure of Chancellor Palpatine's knowledge to save Padmé? Or will he succumb to the Dark side? Final part of the 'Prequel' series. My OC's Ariella - Ariella is probably one of my bravest OCs in a sense. She's tossed into the 1800's where women don't have rights, hugging a man is considered to be scandalous, and red-heads are thought to be the Devil's spawn. She takes it all in stride, aided and abetted by the mysterious Miguel, who brought her back for one purpose; help Zorro defeat the Alcalde while looking fabulous. Well, maybe not that last bit. Calassë - This pampered princess is a multi-layered character, and a challenge to write. In creating her, I had to create an entire world, culture, history, and people. It was difficult, but I got there eventually. The main language spoken in my made-up world of Arryn (which I found out afterwards is mentioned as a place where the moonwine comes from...d'oh) is based on Quenya, which is the old form of Elvish that's used in Lord of the Rings. Yes, I'm a nork (don't ask...just don't). Diana - She's one of my newest OCs, and I'm still getting to know her. Like Mitsuki in Obsidian Eyes, she's a bit shy, but has convinced me that she's a tough cookie, and can handle what comes her way. She deals with her challenges in a creative way (not surprising, as she's an artist) but does on occasion do some very stupid things. She is willing to do anything for her family. Faye - One of my oldest OCs that has been edited as little as possible. She was originally designed to be the stereotypical Irish girl in all respects, but I've changed her personality and she's improved as a character, in my opinion. She's got a bit of a twisted sense of humour and she cusses up a storm, but essentially is a decent enough person. Hitomi - This OC is loosely based off of myself and she topples into a new world by accident..or is it? She's weird, loves her hugs, and really can't control her mouth when she needs to. She just wanted to relax for the summer at the beach, but her plans were tossed out the window when she enters Enterra. Mitsuki - Mitsuki is a surprisingly tricky character to write. She's blind, and to understand completely what life is like for a blind young person, I went to the youth club and talked with several of the teens there who have various impediments (which has made me cry on more than one occasion). She's been designed for a subtle character growth and to encourage others to grow with her. She is soft, quiet and gentle; she's probably one of my favourite characters as she hasn't let her inability to see dominate her life. Rose - A self-insert OC. Like most classic self-inserts, she has a mature mind; well, she would after dying in her early twenties before being reborn into a child's body. Quote of 2009: Out of my mind. Back in five minutes. Quote of 2010: Beware the letter 'G'. It is the end of everything. Quote of 2011: I'm not random. I just have many bluebird waffles. Quote of 2012: There is no great genius without a mixture of madness. Quote of 2013: I am nobody. Nobody is perfect. Therefore, I am perfect! Quote of 2014: There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line. Quote of 2015: I intend to live forever. So far, so good. Quote of 2016: My friend thinks he's so smart; he said that onions are the only food that make people cry. So I threw a coconut at his face. Quote of 2017: I'm not an early bird or a night owl. I'm some kind of permanently exhausted pigeon. Quote of 2018: If women ran the world, we wouldn't have wars, just really intense negotiations every 28 days. Quote of 2019: The early bird can have the worm, because worms are gross and mornings suck. Quote by Sylvia Plath: I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited. Personal Quote: When you’re down I may not be able to pick you back up, but I promise I’ll be willing to lay down right next to you. Quote on my bedroom wall: When I was born I was so surprised I didn't talk for a year and a half. Quote that's scarily accurate: Boys are like Slinky's, useless, but fun to watch fall down the stairs. And I dedicate this spot to my friend, Sarah-Jane: When in my heart I feel a tug, maybe it's an Angel hug. You're always in my thoughts baby-girl; in the loveliest corner. February 17th, 2012. |
