The Do's and Don't's of Fanfiction, according to Yours Truly!

Do: Use proper grammar at all times!

Don't: Stop using commas or capital letters. They exist for a reason, you know!

Do:Try to stay within the realms of the world you write in. Naruto doesn't have to fight with Zanpaktou all the goddamn time, be creative!

Don't: Write Mary Sue's! Seriously. Cut that shit out. If you're going to create an overpowered character, then the very least you can do is give them a few personality quirks for Fuck's sake.

Do: Write for fun.

Don't: Write because you feel pressured to.

Do: Write a story you feel proud of.

Don't: Write a piece of shit.

Do: Stick to the language you write in (i.e. for most of you, English)

Don't: Put random words in Japanese. If you feel the need to put in things like "gomenasai" or "sumimasen" in your stories, then you are the cancer killing this site. Everytime you make a character say "arigatou" a kitten gets brutally murdered in front of it's mother. It's that serious. I don't care if you disagree - if you do this, or think it's a good idea, then YOU are a villain, and I hope a flaming group decides to make an example of you. MUHAHAHAHAHA! The only exceptions are Proper Nouns (e.g. the Hogyoku) and Honourifics (If you know how to use them, most people do not). /rant over

Do: Something interesting in every chapter.

DO: Take advice.

Don't: Let advice (and reviews) rule all your decisions.
