Alright, profile stuff. I'm a college student, graduated college student (yay for degrees), male, and an avid reader. I tend to auto-correct stories that I read in a text file if there are any obvious mistakes, so I have a good amount of experience as a proof reader, even if I haven't been asked to do so for anyone yet. I am also a bit of an author, but none of my stuff is currently on this site for now. The main purpose of this account is to finally be able to track stories, so that I don't lose track of them when they fail to update for a month, and then remember them a year later, wondering if the author ever finished. But I might put something up soon.

I have a terrible weakness for good romance, as well as for the macabre and dark, and comedy is always a good distraction. My own writing tends towards the silly and comedic, or extrapolations of "what if" scenarios. I enjoy having heroes be evil or simply not-so-heroic, villains be good or unintentionally bad, and for epic deeds to be done completely by accident. A good number of the things that I do write (banished to an external hard drive until I can get them fixed up and re-written) have these elements pop up, though not all of them.

I'm a fan of several anime and manga, too many to count in fact, and have read enough Fan fiction of various types to fill a small medium sized large library. I also do enjoy some of America's better works, such as the good old 'Batman the animated series,' for anyone who remembers seeing that, but there's only one American work I can think of that has gotten me to actively look for fan fiction of it. Which one? Well...

... sigh.

MLP:FIM. Yeah, I know what those of you who don't watch or read ponies are saying there, but I've got a good explanation for it: Epic war scenarios with war-mage unicorns, blood and battle, and all that fun stuff. The stories that some people write for it give a lord of the rings level feel, and I'm a sucker for things being flipped on their ear. What's sillier than pastel ponies mixed with war and mayhem?

Then again, my start on anime came from Tokyo Mew Mew, so maybe I secretly need to turn in my 'guy card' or something. Wait, no, I still like giant explosions, Legend of Zelda, and Fate Stay Night, so I think I'm good here.

Also Breath of Fire: One of the best series ever (though I'm not much of a fan of Dragon Quarter), if only for the fact that it was one of the first games where you got to play the giant dragon of the fantasy RPG. Or at least a guy who turned into a giant dragon.
